That's how Peter Sellers died. (the guy from the old Pink Panther movies for you young folks) He went for treatment of heart problems to psychic and healers. Didn't help = dead. Granted the drugs and alcohol didn't help either. But still...seek the pros...even if you dont agree with them, a second opinion is always better.
