Tell your wives to be careful when they go in for surgery

I remembered back when I started my hospital residence, the inside joke was "don't get sick or surgery in July." You're likely be some students' guinea pig on the table.

wow that kid is a moron. so I assume he refuses to touch someones gallbladder during surgery because he didn't ask? as a student you need high volume, and its not like the pelvic0exams are done on supermodels for sexual gratification. usually they are disgusting, fat, maloderous with0some discharge....or they wouldn't be there in the first place.

So what happened here? The patient didnt consent to a second exam by a student after the Doc had already done one? Is that the issue? If yes, BS. That person filed a complaint because he was a whiny kid failing med school.

Or were the procedures done completed independent of why the patient was there. ie, she's in there getting her knee rebuilt, lets call in a student to do a pelvic while she is under!

i've never once seen a med student invited to do a "invasive" type of exam for a pt there for some other reason. I fyou read the article, the pt was there for a pelvic procedure.

this is basically a whiny kid with sand in his Mangina. Yeah, i see he "swallowed his ethics" for the sake of his rotation.. and then whined about it later...

The article mentions paid pro's who allow the pelvic exams.. yeah. ok. how many do you think that is per med student.. i'd guess about 4-5. maybe 10 if the program was REALLY dedicated. I'd rather have the doctor working on my wife that has seen hundreds of chachi's vs. 5.
