The beginning of the end?

Anyway stop being a girl and buy a CTSC. You can have mine for $15,500.

Hey, some girlies like CTSCs too.. Would love to buy it from you , but that's just a pipe dream for quite a while. Why are you selling it ? The only thing that steers me away are from the potential problems that sc's can cause. I need to learn a lot more but YES! ONE DAY! You better believe it!! If yours is still around, I'll buy it. ;) But I'm really liking the Factor X inventions. Sounds like it appears stock, but it most definitely is not...

I do agree about how you get used to the car if it's your daily driver, but wait, then again, I'm still infatuated with mine every day so.... ?? I think it's just adding something to the mix, something new....maybe even taking a new road, open her up and the instant reminder of the power she has... but that's just MHO

Just give a superchaged car a try. Just once. Its not like its going to be bad for you. You can probably even get a free ride if you like.

It would be fun.

;)

ROFL. I did a search for "prepaid" and only prepaid legal came up, so I guess there isn't a prepaid gofastcrackpipe recovery program. Oh wait, it's called an engagement ring.

LOL. Certainly wouldn't do anything anytime soon. I need to ride/drive a 3.2L CTSC sometime. Cheaper would be to drive my dusty, unused, inferiority-complex diseased Integra more often. Haha I literally have an entire dialog written onto the dust on the hood of it negotiating a sale! (It is parked in an apt garage). I should take a pic - it's hilarious.

NSXPO will be the perfect time to experience many different cars with a myriad of modifications. I can suggest 2 modifications which are short of SC/turbo; but would give you more low end performance and enhance your driving experience.
You might consider changing the final drive ratio to the 4.23 NSX-R type; it will provided more "dig" from a standing start making the car "more lively". The second would be adding an after market exhaust system; which will add a bit more power and change the sound of the car to a more aggressive/exotic note.
Each of theses modification would address how you perceived the car when driving; the final drive gives the kinetic feel and the exhaust sound will reinforce the feeling. I feel you would perceive the car in whole new way and not spend anywhere near the cost of doing a SC or turbo.
One other option is NO2; less costly than SC or turbo options; but not my expertise, you would need to ask Bad Karma about NO2.
These are just some suggestions based on my experiences and are only 2 among the 100s available.

if you attended NSXPO 05 in phoenix you too, may have been pre-paid. CTSC is only thing to even consider. The car is as fast as you'll need, trust me and my local police officers. Plenty of speed to get you into trouble. Although the Factor X cars are kind of tempting. Im thinking of getting a ratty NSX one day and doing a little Factor X treatment. 1 SC'd and the other Turbo'd. Weather has alot to do with it, last night was 45ish here and the car felt animalistic:tongue:

The first step is admitting you have a problem. Don't ask me what the second step is, as I have not gotten there yet. Ahh... denile.

Pardon me miss...It was a figure of speech... Glad to see women NSX owners let alone ones that want superchargers.

I bought the CTSC because of Comptech's record and their proven reliability. That is very important to me. Anyway $15,500 was a joke... you can get one for 10K.

:) Yes, this is definitely my cup of tea. Always have loved fast AND well-made cars, and feel blessed to own this awesome machine. Yep, I knew SC ran about $8-$11K depending on type, etc. Knew it would be quite a whiles away until I would be able to afford it.

However, (and not to hijack thread), I've heard some not so good things about SC's. I don't know if I were Ski Banker with a '05 to test it. But that's just me.

One thing I've thought was that I purchased the car up North, in 40 degree weather and now it's 90. For a daily driver, would that temp change result in a noticeable difference around town?

11 degrees change in temperature would account for about a 1% change in hp, (assuming same elevation).

drive a civic DX around town all week and then get into the NSX on the weekend, Better hang on!!

Driving in cool weather the car takes in much denser air, equivelant to a S/C stuffing more air in the cylinders but on a much much smaller scale.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It only took 2 days away, driving a POS rental car this weekend, to make me feel blessed again. After coming back from the airport, I didn't even go inside my apt to drop off luggage - just went straight to the garage, took the targa top off, gave her a gentle kiss to the steering wheel, and promptly took her to 8000 in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Problem solved.

So it sounds like to get your fix you just need to drive a POS rental, probably the slower the better. Well its a hell of a lot cheaper than a supercharger...probably more reliable too:biggrin:
