Ok, here is the opposite then...
After having to think about what I really don't like about the NSX I just went to get some coffee and took a short moment to look outside the window to the parking place where my car is parked.
There it is then. Parked in the upper left corner of the parking lot. The cars next to it are the typical 13-a-dime company cars. A couple of newer BMW's, several Audi's, a couple of Volkswagens and some older model private cars. Most have dull black, dark grey, dark blue colors and occassionally a somewhat faded red or light blue here and there.
Things I hate about my car?
Come to think of it, basically, I just LOVE the NSX!!!
Looking at it from three stories high, it immediately stands out in a crowd of mr. average cars. Low, sleek, red and looking downright fast and dangerous. Like a cougar poised for the kill, watching its prey, waiting for just the right moment to jump forward in one, ferocious strike.
In about two hours I'll be leaving for home and I know that as soon as I hit the road, somebody will be looking. Perhaps, again, some yuppie will try to keep up with me while I effortlessy take the U-turn on the on ramp toward the highway, disappearing from his sight when I rev the car all the way to its 8200 rpm limit in 3rd gear. And I will be sitting in that low slung seat, music on, with a stupid permagrin on my face, relishing every single moment off my homeward bound trip.
And by the time I'm home, I will feel refreshed, even elated, with stores of energy for the evening and night.
All because of that car, my car, the NSX.
My NSX!
I love this car. Love it's looks, its exotic blend of beauty, performance and daily usability. The fact that it has never let me down. That it is easy to drive, easy to get in and out of. That it can be driven in a totally relaxed way and in a second transform into a wild animal at my command. And yes, I do get talk from other people who simply don't understand, who berate it's supposed lack of power, its supposed lack of 'character'. They tell me I should have bought a Porsche or a Ferrari or a Lambo. Never mind they have never owned one, let alone driven one in their whole life. Usually, these same people are the people who drive those daily average cars from the parking lot. The ones that I see disappearing in my mirrors all the time. They are simply talking numbers, black ink on paper. They just don't know the reality of it. And I can simply shrug my shoulders and go my own way.
