This is what you get when you buy a 400hp American car...

GM does NOT stand for "Good Monkey"

Before I even watched the video I was gonna say "you get a 400hp car with the check engine lamp on?....but I guess he didn't even get that:wink:

What should Cadillac do?? How about sell themselves to Toyota or Honda so they can take the name and do something decent with it. It amazes me that people still buy these vehicles...................idiots.

That OnStar systems is pretty cool (sarcasm) - they tell you that your car doesn't work, when it doesn't work!

Don't those Caddy CTS-Vs have flux capacitors?

That guy has some very unique and colorful analagies. Some of my favorites, "I have to piss like a diabetic pregnant race horse", "This thing is slower than a snail with a hard-on."

Funny stuff.

Well, he did say that Cadillac was going to buy back the car or he'd stick it on the internet...
Since we're watching it, I can only assume... :)

I personally thought the "having to pee like a 9 d!ck dog" was the funniest.

I've been watching this post since it was started. I have a CTS-V that has 26K+ miles and it's been trouble free. It's a phenomenal car and this one guy's issues with his car are not typical. Don't forget that even our beloved NSXs and other Honda cars are sometimes lemons. It happens, but its not the norm.

The CTS-V is the greatest car I've ever owned (with the possible exception of the NSX). It's unbelievably powerful, luxurious, comfortable and sounds (with my aftermarket Corsa exhaust and LPE CAI) amazing! It also handles brilliantly. I love this car and despite this one owner's terrible experience with his, you all should know, as I mentioned, that the CTS-V is an awesome car.

.

I worked for Honda/Acura for 6 Years and in the auto industry for 16 and I have NEVER heard of an NSX lemon.

I have known three differnt people that have had their GM products bought back by GM under the lemon law.

sometimes it seems that 25% of the mercedes sold are bought back. I see a lot of buy back mercedes on ebay.

Does anyone know the conclusion to this story and if GM bought his car back?

I also think on paper and on the street it looks like a great car.

I personally also hesitate before putting too much confidence in this guy's story. I don't doubt he's having issues and thinks he's being treated unfairly.

However, all it takes is beating the hell out of it before it warms up and he could get almost all of those issues.

If it's under warranty, get it fixed, sell it.

God please, don't do it. Why not an e39 m5 instead? Or an X350 XJR if you don't mind an auto. You can find both of the above with a few k miles for the same price as a new CTS-V......

Interesting video, and certainly good for a few laughs.

A coworker or mine, who is a car guy and I have tremendous respect for, bought a lightly used 2005 CTS-V a couple of weeks ago. It has an after market exhaust, but is bone stock otherwise. He took me for a ride last week and I was stunned. The V-8 in it sounds amazing, and it will FLY. Probably the fastest sedan I've ever had an opportunity to ride in.

Anyway, just my opinion, but I would own one in a heartbeat.
