This doesn't happen often, but when it does...

While driving my NSX to work using my favorite coastline detour, an older white gentleman driving a Mercedes pulled alongside as we came to a stop light. He rolled down his window and asked if Acura still makes the car. When I told him no, he asked what was the last year and then asked what year mine was. To my reply, he said, "That's a shame. Yours is very clean...as beautiful as any Ferrari." I thanked him, the light turned green, and I drove off smiling.

Okay, so this wasn't as cool as the time a bunch of girls pulled alongside and simultaneously exclaimed, "we love your car!" But it's still nice to hear unsolicited comments about our favorite car because moments like these don't come often...especially in L.A.

It does make you feel good... Of course living in Kentucky I get people stopping me to take pictures and asking questions all the time... So far I've only seen one other exotic car around...

What was the other one you saw??

Great story. Reminds me when an older man at a fruit stand along side of the road thought that my Infiniti FX was from the future. LOL .This is when the car first came out.

Ferrari 308 GTB

People are always telling me there are a lot of neat cars around here but I'm yet to see any in person... :frown:

i can vouch for you; i bought my nsx in KY.... i can't believe how many heads it turned there (never got that anywhere else)..... and my car is black, more inconspicuous

Understand Eric, tough crowd around here.
My better 1/2 and I have been doing SC to HB on PCH
almost every weekend this summer.

Last Sunday, going through Laguna my wife said
"Is that an Enzo" I replied, yes it is..........

Been working on this since Feb.
(The little E30 gets more comments than the NSX? )
(But does get out almost every day, unlike the NSX)

We all see the heads turn. More often I see cell phones out at intersections taking pictures. Several times on I-95, you think someone is passing you based on their speed, except when I look, they have their cameras out, matching your speed, taking pictures. The best one I had was about 3 weeks after I had the car. I was about the 4th car deep at a stop light on a 4 lane road. A guy gets out of his SUV, in the next lane, 2 cars up, walks straight for me and I'm immediately wondering what's going on. He comes to the door, I roll down the window and he hands me his business card (he owns a travel agency) and says, "Man, that's the most beauitful car I've ever seen, I just had to tell you." I say thanks and he gets back in his SUV and drives away.

Stuff like that makes you smile a lot.

Goes with the territory when you take exotic cars out in public. I made a little video to help sell my previous car, to make room for my new NSX. What happens in the vid is very typical of the type of attention it drew each time I drove it. I'm experiencing the same thing with the NSX, albeit to a slightly lesser degree.

NSX owners will probably recognize the car still parked in the garage.
