A bit reluctant to do the 02 conversion initially but I went through it anyway. And I'm glad I did - different shades of white.
The car was just completed yesterday evening. And this morning I took couple of pictures just before I'm flew off for a couple of days. Probably take couple more pictures when I come back and a finer inspection of how well the job was done. Even my new wheels are not installed.
Credit given to Downforce for the parts for the 02 conversion. Peter and the whole DF staffs have been very helpful.
I'll post pictures of the headlight conversion by Clearcorners. Very 'pretty' Thanks Mike.

NSX-R headlights with Clearcorners treatment

Did all the headlight conversion wiring myself. Might take longer but I make sure all done as how I want it.

Thanks to Peter and his team.Downforce have been my main source for parts on my 02 conversion. Fitting of their parts are good. I've received 3 big boxes from Downforce different times throughout last year and this year. All boxes well packed.
Took Downforce's conversion package except for couple of parts like the headlight. I sourced the NSX-R headlight from Japan and sent it directly to Mike@Clearcorners, so I didn't see the headlight for about 5-6 months! - from payment to Japan to receiving them from Clearcorners. I must admits the finished clearcorners treatment are very nice! Must warned they do take their time but I'm very happy with the end product.
And thanks to prime members who have answered my endless PMs:smile:

Your car looks hot!! Is that the Platinum white pearl color? Frank

No Frank, it was a choice between the Platinum and the Neutron. When I saw your post of doing your car in Platinum White, it made my decision easier , took the Neutron White  . These two white colors seem to be on Japanese owner's NSXs so ... why not!
Can't wait for you to complete your car

wooooow. more pictures please:smile:

Car is complete just waiting for a part for my left hand door lock. What is the difference in the 2 whites, the platinum and the neutron?

I did asked for a color sample to be painted on a panel couple of months back. If I'm not mistaken the Neutron have a 'darker' shades of white. I can check it out again when I come back. I might still have the panels.

No way! I'm not unique anymore. :frown: Looks great man. Glad you missed the last gathering. I got really bad sunburn. Hope to seeing more of the car when you come back. Where did you sent your car for painting?

Can't let you be the only 02 converted NSX:biggrin:
I sent it to a paintshop not to far from where I live. Basically worked there when my car was there because I was there virtually everyday

WOW - the before, before, and after really shows the dramatic change!

It looks like you bought a whole new car! I'm afraid to ask but what did this AFTER setup cost you? You look like you not only changed but upgraded many aspects along the way. I've been looking at those clearcorner headlights but too much $$$$.

Great job, can't wait to see more pics

Give it a try??? You actually ended up hitting a home run - one of the sickest '02 conversions I've seen. Love the paint especially.

You know what, I was just wondering about it this afternoon- what is my actual total cost.
I did put aside a budget before the whole project started but I've surpassed beyond it. I need to revisit all my receipts again. But I estimated it to be well passed the US$20k mark(even 25k:confused:). The NSX-R headlight alone(w/o OEM HID) BEFORE clearcorners conversion was about US$3k. The clearcorner conversion something I wanted to do, as Mike said, his first customer from Brunei. Need to see it in person to appreciate it.

For the NSX I did more researched before the project compared to my MR2 TRD widebodied. Took me about 1-2 years to get all the stuffs together before I attempted the '02 conversion

Thanks, it IS a try because not like in the States you got bodyshop which specialist in NSX. Here the shop I sent it to never had an NSX before. Porsches, Jaguars ... yes but not aluminum bodied NSX. I was concern:redface: to say the least but I must admit the body worker who worked on the car was good.
Yeah, the paint actually turned out better then I thought

Looks like the Drift King's NSX-R! :D I'd be interested in seeing some photos taken in sunlight to show off that colour. Sweet ride!

I'll try to take some more pictures this weekend. Must admit the picture Lazarus post couple of years ago got to me :wink:
