My wife just got to sample a 2010 Shelby (SVT) GT500 Mustang, and she was very impressed:

She reported that the shifting was great (the S2000 is still tops here ;^), the supercharged 540hp powerplant was amazing, and that the exhaust note was music.

My first car - 1946 1/2 Mustang. Paid $400 for it in 1972.

Iconic maybe, but it wasn't a great car.
