How many of you travel a lot? If you travel a lot or, are gone from home 3-4 weeks, what do you store your toothbrush in? I was wondering if anyone could recommend something to keep the germs off a toothbrush? thanks in advance

I just toss my brush head up in one of the glasses the hotel provides. I guess I'm not too concerned about germs and stuff.

Doc, why would someone spend thay type of money to clean their toothbrush when they should buy a new one every month or two for a buck or two?

Lol, he asked I googled:redface: I don't have any personal endorsements I too just buy a new brush, and when travelling use a little plastic snapon protecter.I'm sure docl could give us some good info.

Soak your toothbrush in mouthwash for about 30 seconds before you brush and the germs on your toothbrush will be killed. Listerine works the best according to my periodontist. I normally travel with some zip lock sandwich bags for my toothbrush, and will use the zip lock bag in transit from 1 hotel to the next hotel. I normally toss my toothbrush after my trip if it is longer than 1 week. I normally change to a new toothbrush about once a month anyway.

Where else could you get such indepth oral hygine information than NSXPRIME?:biggrin: See, even my big grin smile has good dental work!

I'm not sure, but i saw a short order cook pick up a chicken wing off of the floor and throw it back into the deep fryer to kill all the germs on Kitchen Nitemares!!

I wouldn't worry so much about germs on a toothbrush. If you've ever looked at a sample of plaque under a microscope taken off of a tooth before brushing you'd want to extract every tooth in your mouth. Thirty seconds after brushing or rinsing with a mouthwash the bacteria are back in full strength. If you are that concerned about the bacteria on a toothbrush, I'd suggest stop brushing altogether. I like to do root canals and crowns.

Bleach is great as well just dilute some clorox 2/3-1 soak for a few minutes.

I bought a few toothbrush holders a few months back. On my last hitch i noticed that i didn't change the brush when i unpacked. Even though it was in the holder it still had a smell to it. I was paranoid and got a little travelbrush from a friend that had not opened it. Well that little thing was a pain to use.

I noticed the cheap holders i bought had small holes in them for air i guess. Anyway the toothbrush smelled after a few brushings and placement back in the holder, i guess the holder suffocated it.
