Tubi

Tino, this is good news and shows that the product is being well received.

Curious, will it be pretty much the same design or will there be some other minor adjustments besides the 0.5" drop? And is it pretty much the same group purchase price?

I have been researching, observing and experimenting (theoretically)how the length of the tips extending from the lower valanec affect the exhuast dust on the rear bumper ... frankly, I think extending the shiney tips another 1" out AND 1" back will make it look so much more exotic.

Short of putting a Wing West rear valence or perhaps the new 2002 valenbce, except for the old Comptech resonated or billet straight cut tips, none of the other tips seem to fill that lower area, they all look like something is missing ....... JMHO, YMMV ........

Hrant, I have recently found out that the Tubi for the NSX was engineered and produced many years ago but sold very rarely and never advertized. There are no modifications necessary after our first run. I've had mine for over six months now and the pipes have settled nicely at bout 1/4-3/8" below the valence. I have suggested to Tubi to alter the hangers to drop them another 1/4"-1/2" just because people are concerned. I've had my car on the track and have yet to see the tips touch the valence. All other fitment variables are a function of the what's upstream, meaning cats, headers..etc. My system centers beautifully (DC headers/cats), I can send you pictures. AFA the distance the pipes protrude, I think they're great and Tubi does too. If we had an order for 100 units, all requiring an extra inch, maybe they'd do it. The price will be the same; I'm trying to have the UPS ground charge ($30-50) included this time.

Tino, no need for pics as I was the one who tracked the original photos from a happy NSXer with a Tubi unit in the east coast (the black one on a lift ...........)

I think the Tubi has the best dual exhaust tips that I have ever seen to date .... and I am very finicky about tips ........ LOL!

As we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think covering the lower valence area with a longer (back and front) extension of the tips would dramatcially enhance the side view look of the tips ...

Having said this, I would think if Tubi designed these years ago, they have already capitalized and written off the R&D costs ....... so every sale for them through you is pure net gains minus the cost of labor and materials (if they do not have them in stoclk already). One would think they would be more willing to be competitive in pricing to moive more of these now that it is picking up interest, but then for Tubi, they may consider they are already giving these away .......

Still have not seen any Dyno numbers though ....and especially on a stock 3.2 ....

Hrant,
These are all very good points. Yes, Tubi does not want their products to span a wide price range. The NSX market is so small that it would not make enough sense for them to do so. Even though they make what is probably the best C5 exhaust with a patented cross pipe, their price puts them out of typical Corvette competition.

There is one of the original 10 GB people in the San Diego area. EMail me privately for information.

Same question, for the NYC area.

Same question for Michigan. Also, does anyone know how well the Tubi will hold up to a supercharger? Yeah, Dano, I'm gonna do it as soon as it's available.
