Twin Ring Motegi trip

Well, I spent last week in Tokyo and managed to find 1 day to go visit Honda's Twin Ring Motegi.

We called a shuttle to take us to the local bus stop. The shuttle was a Honda Lagreat, which is the USDM Honda Odyssey. The driver started talking to me and I told him that I just got a "Lagreat" back in the US. I told him that I was impressed with his english. He then told me that he went to high school in Ohio, and his dad was a Honda engineer that was sent to the US to help design the US Honda Accord. We had a pleasant conversation up until I asked him whether there will be a new NSX. He stopped talking to me after that!! His face turned red and it was dead silence!???

I dont get it. Was he mad that you asked him that, or was he mad that there was going to be no new NSX?

He wasn't mad at all. He looked shocked and had a smile on his face, he just wasn't talking anymore. Everyone in Japan is really nice, the customer is always right. You can tell he knows something, he just could not tell me. Totally understandable, but thought it was funny and wanted to share with everyone here on prime.

Very cool! I was supposed to visit the Honda Collection Hall along with attending the Japanese GP this year, but couldn't make it. Hopefully, I can go next year. I'd love to see those Honda racecars up close!

Yup, that is the HSC. I took a lot of pics of it, but on a different camera and I lost the USB cord so I can't upload them.

Well, I am just hoping that his face turning red was a GOOD thing, meaning that there is another NSX coming out. What I fear is that it was the opposite, which would be embarassment that there will not be another NSX.

sounds like a nice trip, I was there few months ago, and happen to catch round 5 of the JGTC, WOW is all I can say, can't wait til the Dec one.
