Typical 4-wheel alignment cost on NSX?

I'm eagerly anticipating picking up my new tires and rims and was wondering what's considered a fair price to pay for a 4 wheel alignment job? I plan to have it set to the less-aggressive toe-in specs for max. tire wear.

Now I know it varies from one to the next, and I do live in ultra high-priced Silicon Valley, but I was quoted $240, 120 for front and 120 for rear from Custom Alignment in Mtn. View, Ca. http://www.customalignment.com/ which I thought a tad expensive even though they come highly recommended by several members of Prime. I checked past postings through "search" all the way back to 2001 and it seems they charged only $150 back then. Even taking inflation into account, $90 more for the same job, same car, seems a bit excessive?

Most alignment specialist in Atl. charge $120-150 for NSX. $40-50 are for places like Firestone,Goodyear. I sent all alignments to Butler Tire in Marietta. $75 seem a little low. But maybe I am paying too much.

svalleynsx,
You should call Orlando at Auto Innovations (www.autoinnovations.com) in Milpitas. Auto Innovations 1337 Minnis Circle, Milpitas, CA 95035. 408.956.8004
I get my cars aligned there and so do many of the other Bay Area NSXers. He is an excellent alignment guy and knows NSX alignment. He charges $100 for the entire alignment and does an excellent job.

Thanks mickeylex. That's the answer I was waiting for. I'm taking it there.

Gran Tourismo East. It's the place that all the local SCCA folks use. They will let you hang out in the bay and discuss your needs with the mechanic. They will let you sit in the car while it's on the rack to get a more accurate alignment. Basically they do it the right way. And yes, last time I was there it was $75 for a 4 wheel. I don't see any reason it would be any more for an NSX.

A proper four-wheel alignment on an NSX can take from one to two hours. Multiply by the hourly rate typically charged by good techs in your area...

I have a lifetime alignment at a Firestone (I trust the manager, old track guy  ) for $129. They will check it a couple times a year for me, takes them 1-2 hours to do the work and the alignment was within .01 degrees balanced last time, and they are set to my specs.

This is dirt cheap, so check around and there may be a simular deal near you.
