Please post your rough estimate. Weight in sheet to back it up is a big plus. It is ok to update your #s if you found more accurate weight for the parts. If you have weighted parts that have not yet been listed on the FAQ section, please post them here as well.
So far I have done the following since purchasing the NSX last spring:
Replaced the Dali 19 pound exhaust with a much heavier Comptech. +20
Replaced the 6 pound Dali Y-pipe with oem cats which weigh approsimately 700 pounds. +15
Reinstalled the spare tire bracket and really heavy spare tire. +30
Added an OEM tool kit. It's kind of heavy. +5
Added a billet engine bay fuse box cover. +.3
Tried to put on a nice heavy oem engine cover but the engine drone was too bad. So I took it back off. +0
Replaced a really light carbon fiber shift knob with a nice heavy ARC Titanium shift knob. I guess it's got something heavier than ti at the core. +.2
I am in the process of replacing the heavy Comptech exhaust with the even heavier OEM exhaust. +15
I am also replacing the very light plastic wire covers and fuel injector covers with somewhat heavier billet Dali bits. +.8
Had a couple of doughnuts for breakfast. +.3
I'm looking for some rims to replace the V2 seven spoke oem chrome ones but I haven't found anything heavy enough yet. (j/k...Thinking about some superleggeras or RPF1s...UNsprung weight is the enemy.)
Gotta love that road-hugging weight.
Seriously, this car just isn't that fast, I don't track it, and I don't have forced induction in the toy budget right now. So I will enjoy the goodness of oem-ness and bling up the engine bay for the time being.
(With apologies to nsxsupra and all the weight-watchers here on Prime. Your work is admired. But why didn't you just go with an Elise?)
