Please post your rough estimate. Weight in sheet to back it up is a big plus. It is ok to update your #s if you found more accurate weight for the parts. If you have weighted parts that have not yet been listed on the FAQ section, please post them here as well.

So far I have done the following since purchasing the NSX last spring:

Replaced the Dali 19 pound exhaust with a much heavier Comptech. +20

Replaced the 6 pound Dali Y-pipe with oem cats which weigh approsimately 700 pounds. +15

Reinstalled the spare tire bracket and really heavy spare tire. +30

Added an OEM tool kit. It's kind of heavy. +5

Added a billet engine bay fuse box cover. +.3

Tried to put on a nice heavy oem engine cover but the engine drone was too bad. So I took it back off. +0

Replaced a really light carbon fiber shift knob with a nice heavy ARC Titanium shift knob. I guess it's got something heavier than ti at the core. +.2

I am in the process of replacing the heavy Comptech exhaust with the even heavier OEM exhaust. +15

I am also replacing the very light plastic wire covers and fuel injector covers with somewhat heavier billet Dali bits. +.8

Had a couple of doughnuts for breakfast. +.3

I'm looking for some rims to replace the V2 seven spoke oem chrome ones but I haven't found anything heavy enough yet. (j/k...Thinking about some superleggeras or RPF1s...UNsprung weight is the enemy.)

Gotta love that road-hugging weight.

Seriously, this car just isn't that fast, I don't track it, and I don't have forced induction in the toy budget right now. So I will enjoy the goodness of oem-ness and bling up the engine bay for the time being.

(With apologies to nsxsupra and all the weight-watchers here on Prime. Your work is admired. But why didn't you just go with an Elise?)

My subwoofer box probably adds 10lbs.
lots of chassis braces.. probably another 15lbs
My turbo must weigh at least 5lbs.
Filled up my gas tank the other day. That's slowing me down until it gets close to empty again.

if you go with the carbon fiber doughnuts, you could shave off .1

The only thing that I added to the weight was a trunk liner(5 pounds). Its all good tho I dont have a spare tire and added a shark antenna. At some point I got to get some subs in there so That will add some more weight and kind of get it back to stock weight.

LMAO!!!

'twas totally generalizing !!!

in truth i don't even own an nsx but wanted to healthily contribute to the thread!

you primer's are hilarious!! funniest and in general most mature group of people i have seen on forums.

Please post another message here so that we know she hasn't ripped you into pieces... yet.

... + 20 kilos has gotta be a compliment, hasn't it ?

I know in the weight reduction thread guys are drilling holes into the frame (no joke)

Anyone *weld plates* onto the frame? You know... Bulk it up! :D

I added the iPod adapter... Maybe plus 11 oz?

Also put the toolkit back in (which is funny because I don't have a spare :) )

strut bars, NSX-R chassis bars, roll bars... it happens. not that i have done that...

Hmmm what is red Thread weaved into the original stitching worth...???

I bought the tool kit to add to the car and I have the spare installed, even though I would never use a 20 year old spare tire. I just like rolling with all the oem stuff in place.

Come to think of it, I forgot to note the Tire Slime kit that includes a bottle of the green stuff AND an air pump. (I would never trust a 20 year old air pump. :D) That has to tote up to a couple of pounds.

remember to keep that weight up:
- never let the fuel fall below 3/4 full
- over-top the brake fluid reservoir
- run the engine oil 1/8" over full line
- fill the windscreen wash tank to the brim, then use a chamois instead ...
- always take a passenger
- eat supersized daily

OK, I'm considering reinstalling the oem coupe engine cover, once I get the massive (and quiet) oem exhaust reinstalled.

Now I know the NSX-T clamshell is a lot heavier than the coupe cover, and of course the strut brace is as well. So do you guys think it would be enough added weight to be worth it? I would have to remove a battery tender that I keep permanently in the car as it would be in the way.

Also if I purchase and install a clam shell, how much weight would that add? And where can I pick up a beater targa roof to keep in it? I know the top isn't all that heavy but every oz counts, plus I hate to waste the storage space.

Bought the car in 2008 I weighed 160. Now I weigh 185. +25 :frown:

And by the way, way to give it up for the sake of NSX weight gain. I mean sacraficing your body like that by putting on 25 pounds. That's dedication.

And if you are still looking for a thread to post an uncensored (and larger) version of your avitar, this could be just the place. None of the serious primers ever look at this thread.

Few more...

JDM/EU fog light kit... not sure what this weighs?
Stacy Sideskirts and rear spats... adds about 7 lbs
Comptech/WW lip... adds about 5 lbs
CTSC... adds a net of 15 lbs, but the point there is kinda moot :)
