Using Floor Stands....help!

When jacking up one side of an NSX (I have an 05) and placing the two floor stands at the appropriate points, does it matter whether you lift that side up to the floor stand maximum height then proceed with the opposite side, or should you jack up each side incrementally.....say 3 or 4 inches at a time.....until the desired height is achieved?

I feel there may be a safty issue when jacking one side up all the way then jacking the opposite side up. I don't really know, and I don't really care to find out the hard way.

I welcome any comments / suggestions from the experienced folk out there as to the safe and proper method to be used? :smile:

The only thing that can get you into trouble is if the jack can't roll as raise the second side. If the jack can't move because of a soft or uneven surface then you could tip over the stands.
