Vancouver kid apologizes for riot behavior

I don't have kids yet. I honestly wouldn't know what to do or say if my son had been involved in this. Honestly WTF do you do as a parent? I wonder what will happen to his future, it looked promising, well i guess if you play water polo.

I wonder what would have happened to the futures of the officers in that cruiser, and several of the people all around if that rag had ignited as he had intended...

lets look at what the kid intended to do- and that was to blow up a police cruiser, causing bodily harm.

I think Mythbusters did an episode on this- there wouldn't have been an explosion per se, but in this case I think that was what he was trying to do.

BTW- who would have thought Canadians would lose their minds like this when they discovered that they suck at hockey?

He should have to serve his time like anyone else and unfortunately for him that will mean losing his shot at his dream.

He should have thought of that before trying to blow up a police car.

Yeah, some lessons are hard learned. This is one of those lessons and he should be held responsible for his actions. I appreciate the apology and that would be a mitigating factor in sentencing. But he should be prosecuted and dealt with just like any other criminal.

Is 17 considered an adult in Canada?

Off topic, hey Kelley

Accept my playstation friend request when you get a moment and let's race

Lighting fire to a rag in the gas tank will not "blow up" the car... yea it will catch fire but does that equal intent for bodily harm to anyone? No. And yea I'm sure he does feel sorry that he got caught....
