VIN on window glass

I checked out two 91 NSXs last week. I saw the VIN was printed on every window glass (windshield, side windows and rear window) on one car but none on the other one.

Could you someone tell me if the VIN should be printed on the original glasses on 91 NSX?

Etching the VIN into all the glass is done by an aftermarket company on the theory that it will help deter theft. It is not like that from the factory.
