Wow. Just returned from a Memorial Day weekend family wedding in Buchanan, Va.
OMG. Our extended family's home is situated on a high point of a 22-acre tract of land, such that the back porch faces the Blue Ridge mountains. What a vista! 180 degress of pure beauty.
Weather this weekend was incredible, as I'm sure the bride and groom (and our hosts, the bride's parents) were thankful to chance or supreme being, whichever they believe in.
I did a couple of round trips to and from the Blue Ridge Parkway, using Hghwy 43 between Route 11 and the Parkway. I only wished I had either the NSX or the Miata for these drives.
Anyways, for those of you that have access to these kinds of roads and scenery, I can only say good for you, hope you appreciate it and take advantage of it.
Hmm, the 15 acres adjacent to our hosts' home might be on the market soon . . . but alas, about five years too soon, doesn't quite line up with retirement plans . . .
