Volk GT Series Wheels - Offset question

I've been going through the archives (searches & FAQ) and was looking up other wheel size & offsets and suspension comparasons, but just had a quick question for those who may have ran into this already with their NSX.

My Suspension: Eibach lowering springs sitting on Bilsteins (upper perch)

I know the rear wheel size/offset is not a problem and have that figured out, but my question is the front. I have the option of getting 1 of 2 different 17x8 rims for the front, each with different offsets. I know the 1st size will fit w/out any rubbing problems, but wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the 2nd size setup......

1st setup - 17x8 +40 offset with a 37mm lip
2nd setup - 17x8 +42 offset with a 50mm lip

With the +42 offset, the rim is more in towards the car (not sticking out as far) and the wider lip sounds more tempting, but has anyone ran into any rubbing problems along the inner part of the wheel/tire with the +42 offset 17x8 wheel with 215/40/17 tires? I know that 225 tires would probably rub, but what about the 215 on the 8" rim with a +42mm offset? If there's a little rubbing at "full lock" on the steering wheel, I can live with that - my main concern is daily driving. I figured I'd ask before I place the order on the wheels. Ironically, they're the same price for either size. Thanks in advance.

BTW, just wondering if anyone might have a pic just for the hell of it...... I've seen pics of Volk wheels with the 17x8 +40 size w/37mm lip. But does anyone have a pic of the 17x8 +42 wheel with the 50mm lip up in the front?

I just realized that I can (theoretically) just use something like 1/8" (approx 3mm) wheel spacers and bring the +42mm offset out a bit so it would be farely close to the +40mm offset. Should work and not have any (additional) problems... still don't know about the rubbing with the lowered stance with the 215 tires at full turn, but again I can live with it.
