vortech on nsx???

Mine was custom made, fitted back in 93.

I'd like to remake the system similar to Peter Cuninghams but haven't been able to source any info or photos of his mounting bracket.

I actually got to meet Peter Cunningham this weekend at Sebring. It was a really nice experience. I did find out that he drives an EVO 6 around. Pretty interesting. I met the wife of his tech, I believe that their last name is Armitage. I'll have to check. She said he would put a Vortec unit on my car. Just contact Realtime (www.realtimerl.com) and see if you can talk to Mr. Armitage. The funny thing is that I was so enthralled with talking to them, that I forgot to snap a picture. Oh well, next year it is then.

P.S. I guess you can forgo the the cross brace on an NSX-T if you've got a roll cage like that!

I noticed this is the Vortec that is similar to the one on the BBSC...are there any advantages with this set-up vs BBSC?

off hand it looks like fewer moving parts, since there's no carrier apparatus for the driveshaft, but longer run for the piping.. does pipe length matter?

well, one advantage for bbsc i guess is it is a known entity, vs. this being a one-off, albeit a one-off that's been around for 10+ years....

Also, we have no idea what they are using for fuel management and this one obviously won't fit under the engine cover!

The supercharger mounting bracket is pretty basic on mine, anyone with some mechanical/machining skills could make it.

I still have the OEM ecu although it was modified by Dinian back in 93. I have several extra chips with different fuel & Ignition maps which can be changed by simply taking the cover of the ECU & changing the chip.

Dinan did the original installation & was dynoed to 404 RWHP at 5/6 psi not sure on the CFM

I've made a few modifications, originally it had an extra externally mounted Fuel pump which ran all the time. Not really the safest way to go as well as being extremely noisy. I've since removed both pumps & installed a Bosch Motorsport Pump in the Tank.

I've also shortened the Belt by about a foot by removing some Idler pulleys & making a new Tensioner Pulley to maximize Crank & supercharger pulley coverage.

No chance of fitting an engine cover on this setup, The rear window is heavily tinted instead.

Next project is fitting an air/water intercooler although may have to wait for the new clutch to replace the one that let go last night.

I have an AP Racing 5 1/2 triple plate Carbon Carbon pull clutch sitting on the shelf I wonder if i could make it fit?
