A big thanks to all of you who responded to my query about whether my clutch was bad (to those who didn't read that thread, I brought my NSX in to my local dealer for a windo fix and was told by the service manager that I needed a new clutch). I had it checked by a mechanic I trust and there is NO reason to replace the clutch. And there is no oil "Seepage" around the head gasket (another "Problem" the service manager "found." "$455" was the answer to my question). I am horrified! I know, I shouldn't be. The dealer gave me a phone call asking to call them if there is any reason not to check excellent on the survey that is coming my way. Pay back is a... and will be sweet.

Glad you were able to get to the bottom of this. One particular Ford dealer a friend of mine dealt with, the service manager's quarterly bonuses depended on the ratings from the customers. Anything less than an "EXCELLENT" rating resulted in the reduction of their bonus or no bonus at all. He gave the service a "poor" rating due to a crappy service and for having to pay for work that wasn't necessary. The service manager actually called my friend at his house to find out the reason behind the rating and when he wouldn't change his mind, the service manager got really upset and exchanged some not-so-nice words. Needless to say, that manager no longer works for the dealership because of the conversation he recorded.
