hey, i have a 97 nsx and today i noticed a lot of water dripping from a small hose under the front end of the nsx...is there a big problem here? i wasn't using the A/C either, but the heater was blasting for a while...

That could be you coolant leaking from the front piping under the hood.

i made sure it wasn't coolant, it was pure h2o...the hose kinda looks like it's some type of drainage hose, it has a 90 degree bend, which looks like it allows liquid to drain to the ground.

Hello Legendr 35

I am sure that you have driven with your airconditioning on, This is water that is comming of from your condensor behind your dash. Below the condensor is a space ware the water comes into a hole, This hose you mentioned is stick on this hole for a clear flow to the ground.

Iff i am ok this is also told in your car handbook

that could be a possibility however it was 50ish degrees outside so i had the heater on full....does the AC still work while its on full heat?

You had the heat on, but was it on Defrost? I bet it was the A/C also. If it is in the footwell/Firewall area on the passenger's side (close to to middle) that is likely what it is. If you see it again, listen to see if you hear the compressor cycling or open the hatch and take a look to see if it is.

If you didn't push the button that displays "A/C off" then the A/C was not off. It will run to dry the air if necessary -- especially if you have it in defog mode.

If you have used the AC in the past, then its possible that there was some water left pooled in there, which shifted around during driving and then drained. I have had an issue with water overflowing into the footwells, and according to Shane at Autowave, you can get leaves and crap that get in there and cause blockage. Perhaps you have a minor blockage in there somewhere? So far it hasn't bothered me enough to want to pay them to open it up and clean it out..
