Weird electrical problem

I've had a few nagging electrical problems lately, but here is one that has become pretty consistent as of late.

My brake light warning indicator comes on intermittently but has been more consistent lately. I checked and none of my tail lights are out. Another problem is when the car is off (key out) and I open the door and I hit the brake to activate the brake light, the car chimes just like as if I had my head lights on. When I take my foot off the brake, the chiming goes away. Also, when I have the air conditioning on, when I hit the brakes the CCU display either dims or blips off for a second and comes back on. I’ve also had issues of my interior lights and the left side of my gauge cluster not turning on when the door is open, but then at some point mysteriously turning on. It’s not related to the door position or open sensor.

CCU was completely fixed and repaired. However, I’ve had a lot of electrical work done over a period of many months and I’m running an HKS F-Con. It sounds like I have some crossed wires or something but I have no idea where to even start.

Any advice? Would it be worth taking it somewhere to get completely rewired or is that going to be crazy expensive? Thanks in advance!

I noticed my brake light indicator on twice in the last 3 months. I check my bulbs and everything is fine. I shut the car off and then back on.. the indicator light is gone... ???? I don't know why. Lately my interior lights have been intermittent... they go off... and on.. I hit a bump its off.. then on. I tracked the problem down the my dimmer switch. I will see if this comes back.

A new electrical problem.. my power windows don't work when my doors are closed. Well they do sometimes... If I put my windows down while closing the door, they will continue to work when the door is shut. Weird... this all happened when I got my alarm installed at Circuit shitty. Guess I have to take off the door panel and check it out. BTW where is the pin switch for the doors?

My brake light indicator was coming on occasionally as well. I would shut the car off and on and the light would stay off. All brakes lights were working.

Sometime later it would come on again. When the indicator was off, all brake lights worked. I waited for it to come on again, when it did, I checked the brake light again and found 1 of the bulbs not working. Turned off the car and then back on, the brake indicator light would be off and all the brake lights working again....hum.......

The next time it came on, I checked the brake lights again, same bulb wasn't working so I replaced it. So far the brake light indicator has not come back on. Could have been the bulb connection or the bulb itself not working all the time..

I hate electical Gremlins.....

Now I have a problem with the passenger door speaker only working 1/2 the time with normal volume and 1/2 the time with very little volume...Going to replace the speaker amp and see if that solves the problem. I figure the amp is heating up and shutting down.

That may be the source of my problem too. Did you just replace the dimmer switch assembly?

An update to my problem, now the brake light indicator stays on constantly and my left and right turn signals go from out to gradually getting brighter to a light dim then back out again. Plus when I hit my brakes, the CCU light gets brighter. I got some weird things going on in my NSX...

Its part of the programming of the HKS F-con.... you don't use your brakes.. so no need for brake lights.

ON a serious note... the light in my CCU.. the actual numbers and icon, never dim or change. It was only the backlighting that would dim and shut off. My problem was actual dimmer switch. For the longest time I thought I had a loose ground, because the lights would dim as I accelerated. I called it my G-meter.
