What are they worth?

What's do you people think stock silver 15/16 wheels and tires go for? I replaced mine with some new TE-37's. The 15/16's are in ok shape, few scratches here and there but nothing major. The SO3 pole positions on them are almost new...at the most I placed about 5k miles on em.

Any thoughts? Are they worth selling or should I just keep em for emergencies or as track wheels. (which mean they will sit in the garage since I have tracked my car once in the past 5 years)

I would say to keep them as track wheels or spare. The TE37s are really nice wheels . However, with the 15/16 sizes, I doubt you will be able to sell them with a good price. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, you'd probably almost have to give them away, as some Prime members have done. Or you could always post them up for sale and see if anyone is interested. I don't think you'd get much though. I think you might have more interest in the SO3s by themselves.

In your case, you are not likely to buy track tires (for that one track event in five years, you could just use your new street wheels/tires) so I would sell them for what you can get, rather than letting them sit around unused, taking up a lot of space.

FWIW, what I usually do with wheels/tires that aren't my favorites is to drive them until at least two of the tires are worn and need replacing, and then sell them for what the wheels are worth.

They typically go for around $200 (and sometimes as low as $100) for a set of four wheels in okay condition with centercaps.

Tires may or may not add value. My standard rule of thumb for OEM tires, which are the most desirable, is to add 50 percent of their value when new, pro-rated by the amount of tire tread remaining on them. S-03 are very good street tires, but I'm not sure they would add as much as the OEM tires. At best, let's say they follow this formula, and 5K miles is at best at least one third of their lifespan. Therefore the additional value for the tires would be no more than .5 * (2/3) * (2*133 + 2*153) = $190 and that's absolutely best case, and somewhat unlikely that you could get that.

All in all, I would guess that you might be able to get $300 for the set. Maybe.
