In previous cars, my fuel cutoff was usually a couple notches after redline. My NSX kills the fuel exactly at 8k (seems like 7975 rpm)??? Does anyone have any other result. Assuming the car still has a stock ECU

The ’91 Service Manual Page 11-24 states: “Fuel cut-off action takes place when engine speed exceeds, 8,300 rpm regardless of the position of the throttle valve to protect the engine from over-revving.”
Maybe you’re experiencing variances in tachometer calibration, as I’d be surprised if actual fuel-cutoff varied from car to car.
