What year was the NSX released in the US

hi folks,

not sure if i'm considered ur little brother, or a slower cousin.. but regardless, i would like to know what year the NSX was released in the US and how much the price was on the first year model, i remember seeing that it was around 30k, but some people think i am nuts... so i just wanna get it from those who know... thanks for the replies..

I think it was released in 1990 as a 1991 and it cost about 65K. Nsxtacy will know for sure... and you can check out the FAQ also.

The NSX first went on sale in the United States around September 1, 1990, as a 1991 model year car. MSRP then was $60,000 plus $600 transportation charge. Most dealers at that time were asking, and getting, $85,000 or more. By the end of the year, prices had dropped and most dealers were selling the cars for $70-75K. The luxury tax went into effect on January 1, 1991, at a rate of 10 percent of the selling price in excess of $30,000.
