Am looking at a couple sets of Zanardi wheels with minor issues.
2 of the 4 on both sets have some curbrash & minor dings.
(One wheel on one set has major dings)
Can someone direct me to a shop in SoCal
so I can get some estimates prior to
buying / making an offer.
Curious as to the going rate for top notch rash removal and refinishing.
Have seen some shops charge one price no matter how minor or major the damage.
May be best to wait for a better set, you never know what will turn up.

Thanks

From my own personal experience, I had one aftermarket wheel repaired by a local (San Diego) wheel repair shop. They charged one hour of labor (about $65) to repair a dent, but that did not include any wheel polishing if necessary. Needless to say, I was not all that happy with their work, and how long it took. I do not plan on using them again.

In the future, I plan on using Fixrim.com. While I do not know anyone directly who has used them, I have read many referrals to them on various boards. I believe they charge a flat rate and have a one day turnaround. They have a location in Stanton, just off the 22.

EDIT: Based on vtecNSX1's feedback in the following post, I'll probably pass on using the Fixrim.com recommended site in Stanton.

Dont use wheels america in stanton theyre horrible. I drove out there 6 times and they could never get my wheel right. They even had the nerve to tell me that I somehow rebent my wheel after i got it back from them.

Thanks for the tip. It's good to know.

The wheels I am looking at are not bent.
A mobil touch up guy might even work out.
(If they could match the paint.)
Thanks for the info!
Now I know where NOT to go!

Can he repair minor curb rash on the polish lip? Give me an idea how much it cost you?

thanks.

Can he repair minor curb rash on the polish lip? Yes
Give me an idea how much it cost you? $65.00 to $95.00
depending on damage for polished wheels.

So he fixes it at your place?

Any idea how he matches the polish lip?

Does he has to remove the tire and how long did it take?

Thanks again.

He comes to your place. He works mainly dealerships.
BMW/Benz/ etc. He has had his Business 9 yrs & has a million dollar Bond.
He came from Fletcher Jones the day he stopped by my place.
Said he worked 15 cars that day.
I asked about brushed alum or bead blast finish (High polish would be easier) and he said he has some techniques that work really well.

So he fixes it at your place? Y
Any idea how he matches the polish lip? Not 100%, Air tools, buffers & Hand I would guess.

Does he has to remove the tire No and how long did it take? 1.5 hrs for 2 wheels.

I had the tires removed prior to, as I am swapping tires- but didn't need to.
He does not have a tire machine on his truck. Works tires on.
