OPINIONS PLEASE
Uhhh, find other wheels or use the spacers? Not sure exactly what you want to hear.

These are close to your first choice, and would not require spacers. HRE 540's:

I want to hear opinons on using spacers.

Or if someone knows of a wheel like the HP Deisgn EVO.
I love the depth of dish and the look of the raised mesh.
the EVO also has a great looking hub ( the mesh design goes past the diameter of the lug holes. the iforged AERO does the same )

iforged are nice but the centers look too flat and not enough dish

thanks

Gotcha. I can't speak form experience on spacers, but many here can. If you haven't searched yet, do so using "spacer*" and search only in the thread title, and withing the Tire and Wheels forum.

No disrespect intended, but you haven't asked a question for someone to answer. While I probably can't answer a question related to spacers, niether can anyone else without knowing what the question is.

on offense taken

I do not want to use spacers. but the front runners for wheel choice ( HP design EVO ) need them.

Some people think spacers are TABOO
Some people use spacers.

Knowing the effects of using spacers, HOW TABOO ARE THEY?

on the other hand...if i can find a set of wheels to use without spacers the question is null

...is that an answer?

I can't find a set of wheels that I like to buy without using wheel spacers

first choice: needs 5mm front spacer

second choice:

OPINIONS PLEASE

I emailed HP and they have 40 offset for 18x7.5. and 35 offset for 19x9.5

You may not need spacer if HP give you the right spec.

I believe the other HP evo owner has 38 offset. He said on his post that he is running a 1mm spacer. that is thickness like a piece of aluminum foil between the wheel and rotor.

I would order EVO but I already have Volk- GTC and they fit perfect.

BTW HP do not supply lugs and hug centric rings. so you are on your own unless your reseller supply them.

the 40 offset is only for 8 hole wheel :frown:

Really? i did specified that it is for a NSX.

Well, I wouldn't worry about a 1mm-3mm spacer. very thin. you will still be able to use hub centric rings. should not have short thread issue

I dont think you will have a change in the handling by using a spacer if that is what you want to know, but you will need longer studs at 5mm.

I'm more concerned with stress on the studs & the possibility of balance problems (even with hub centric spacers) :frown:

There are whole bunch of wheels out there that will fit the NSX without spacers. The Volks, iForged, BBS, SSR, Advan, and many more. If you have doubts about spacers, simply don't use them. What exactly is the issue?
Steve

here are the choices & issues:

looking for a 18/8 & 19/10 setup

OF THE WHEELS I WOULD LIKE

AZA Z2 - only 18's
HP Deisgn EVO - need 5mm spacer in front
Work Meiser SR2 - only 18's
Stern ST-1 - spacer in front? (nobody has an answer)
Advan model 5 - no issues, but not 1st choice
