In order to send an email (private or otherwise) to a Prime contributor, you can now click on "profile" and go from there. However, instead of getting to view the recipient's email address and then sending off a message by copying that email address into one's Outlook program like we used to do previously, the new software automatically creates an input field where you can type your message in directly. While this is more convenient, I find that there is no provision to attach files using this methodology, regardless if you are sending a regular message or a Private one. I find that in order to send a file to a recipient, I have to send an email to the receipient asking them to send me an email from their direct email account, after which I can respond by sending them the designated file.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here?

vBulletin allows the site admin to make email addresses visible or invisible. Lud obviously has this set to invisible. Not sure if its by accident or not. When email addresses are set to invisible, you still have the option of emailing another member, only, as previously mentioned, its not a direct email. You create the email on the nsxprime.com server, and send it through there, which the recipient receives at his email address, and reveals your email address. He can then contact you outside of the forum if he so pleases. Its kind of a privacy feature, but I dont see a need for that on this site.

I agree since I don't believe this was abused under the old system. Lud, can we turn this feature off so email addresses can be revealed.
