Hello all! We have some new OEM tires coming and would like to have an alignment done after they have been mounted. I did a search and see that Crown Acura is recommended as far as having service done but I would rather not drive all the way over to Pinellas just for an alignment (we live in Plant City). Are there any recommended alignment shops in Brandon, Tampa or maybe even Lakeland? Thanks in advance for your help!

92NSX Orlando would actually be farther away than heading over to Clearwater.

smoore I'll give Advance a call. Thanks for the heads up!

Just wanted to let anyone else that was wondering about where to get an alignment in this area that I went to Advance Performance and Tire last week and had Mike align the car. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even let me sit in the car while he was making final adjustments to make sure it was correct for my weight in the driver seat. I definately recommend him.

Thanks for your help Stuart!

MRfreeze,

would you mind sharing what you paid?

I'm looking for places to take my car since ACUNDA is apparently out of business.

I just had mine done--I let Tire Kingdom in Valrico do it.
They tried to tell me it was a super special alignment and wanted to charge me much more than the posted price--when I protested, they just charged me the usual $60.

Got a computer printout with specs--seemed good and the car rides much better...........

Joe,
I paid $90 but I didn't mind because Mike was very thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain everything he was doing as well as letting me sit in the car and be back in the shop while he was doing the work. I also received a printout with before and after numbers.

A side note about Tire Kingdom, Don't use the one in Plant City. I took my OEM wheels there a week before the alignment to have my new tires installed and they ended up damaging two of them. Of course they said the damage was already there and after arguing with them for an hour, all they would agree to do is have the two damaged ones repainted. Well I didn't want them touching my wheels any more and if they are to be refinished, I want to have them all powder coated and not painted. Anyway, to make a long story short, they gave me my money back and I will never use them again. Just wanted to share that.

Mike at Advance does tires too and specializes in big (20"-24") wheels and low profile tires. I will be going there for any future tire mounting needs as well.

Yes Thanks Stuart!

Mike was very helpful. I went on 3/5 and after a half a dozen shops refused to align my X. It took 45 minutes to get my lowered X on the rack, but it was worth it. Mike checked where the caster, camber and tow was at presently and showed before and after results on the final printout. It took about 2 1/2 hours, but well worth it. I noticed the results as soon as I pulled out. Steering wheel was alot easier to turn and it did'nt follow every crack and uneven pavement line in the road. We changed the So3 Pole Postions to Goodyear F-1's on the front. I let you guys know the performance of these. You are kinda limited to tires when you have 18/19's on the lowered X. I just love how 18/19's fill the wheel well!!! No Gaps Here! Want 2 see some pics? Post a reply.
