I found the BEST prices for Toyo's online through www.TD4L.com
Wow! That TD4L place, which I had not previously heard of, is close to home for me. (Advantages of places close to home are that you can go there and avoid shipping charges and often get the tires mounted/balanced there; one disadvantage is that you usually pay sales tax that you can avoid by getting tires shipped from out of state.) And Vilven finally got a website; too bad it doesn't show prices or other useful information.
Watch out for claims of "best prices", which aren't always true. You can check prices at places that show prices on their websites (and shame on those that don't). Here is a comparison of current website prices for the Toyo RA-1 in the stock '91-93 sizes of 205/50-15 and 225/50-16:

Just to clarify so there could be an apples to apples comparison of prices with my cost posted above, my sizes are 235-40ZR17 front and 275-35ZR18 rear.
Frisby had the second lowest price when I was shopping around with a quote of $198/$323 plus $70 shipping.
And it was frustrating with so few websites listing pricing but I got an immediate reponse to my emails sent to Bob Vilven at [email protected] and he ended up giving me the best quote.

FWIW, Edge Racing, which had the lowest prices on both of the smaller sizes noted above, currently shows prices for your sizes as $183/$303, which probably works out close to Vilven's price after shipping. Bottom line prices can vary; shipping may be more for a vendor that's further away (Edge Racing is in Florida) and you will almost always pay sales tax at a vendor in the same state where you are having the tires shipped.
Oh, and you can always ask another vendor to match a lower price you find on the internet. The worst that can happen is they say no...
