Twice in the last two weeks I’ve had a courtesy from SUV drivers. You all know we make disparaging remarks about SUV’s and pickup trucks, ranging from “they don’t see us” to “they’re inconsiderate and bullies”. Around the Motor City, you must also deal with their anti foreign car sentiment.
I’ve had two instances wherein these apparent sports-car lovin’ drivers have helped me recently. One on a major interstate, where moments before I entered a laser speed zone in triples I got a bright light flashing from an oncoming black Durango that had me throwing out the anchor, and tonight when a pickup truck gave me the universal sign immediately prior to going under a viaduct where Officer Friendly was utilizing his velocity measuring device while well concealed.
For the purists, neither episode was about “street racing”. It was simply about an NSX on a clear and dry day.
‘Nuff said, think I’ll back ‘er down before my good fortune expires.

Sounds pretty lucky to me. The only times I get the headlight flash is when the oncoming drivers are annoyed by my HID retrofits.

With your tendency toward high velocity I hope that you have invested in a radar detector.

Or get a radar detector:biggrin:

My gripe with SUV's is that even when I park away from all other cars they come over and park right on top of me almost. This ticks me of in a major way:mad:
