Who's running both 18" front and rears on NSX?

West coast!
I heard there are some of you guys who run the same diameter rims on front and rear of the car but in stagger widths....

Can you guys post your rim specs and what tires you are using?

A) Rim size, ex. 18x8, 18x9.5

B) Offsets

C) Tire sizes

I'm trying to figure out if s2000 fitment 18" stagger widths will fit an NSX or if I need to get spacers. If you have personal experience you're more than welcome to chime in here as well!

thanks
rick

Personal opinion, 17/18 or 18/19's flow better with the lines of the NSX. Again, just my humble opinion.

The same size front and back causes the front wheel to look too large, or the rear wheel to look slightly too small.

I have Volk GT-Cs

18x8 42 Face1 225/35
18x10 36 Face1 275/30

I agree with Zishan's comments about wheel diameters.

thanks for posting your sizing! I agree and always thought the same way but then I saw "larrynsx" ride and he is running 18's all around like you and it looks pretty good.

I'm not going for a perfect look but just want to know the NSX fitment "hypothetically" if I was going to use s2000 rims so I can compare the offsets from both cars.

The s2000 rims I'm looking at are:

18x9.5 rears, +63 offset

18x8 fronts, +56 offset

so does that mean I can use spacers to correct the differences?

REAR: +63 (NSX) vs. +42 (s2000)

Front: +36 (NSX) vs. +56 (s2000)

1) 18X9F and 18X10.5R
2)38 offset in front and 35 offset in rear....also running 15mm spacers in rear.
3)215-35-18F and 265-35-18R

Hey Rick, planning to put the Work's from the s2k on the nsx?

Actually I'm trying to get some Advan RGII's in white for the s2000 in 18" fitment but wanted to run them occasionally on the NSX so.........

According to an NSX prime member he's running 18's all around on his NSX

18x7.5, +48 up front running 215/35/18
18x9.5, +38 in rear running 273/35/18

So 18x7.5 fronts, +53 (s2000) vs. +48 (nsx) is a diff. of 5mm

18x9.5 rears, +60 (s2000) vs. +38 (nsx) is a diff. of 22mm

Is the REAR difference correctable with say a 20mm spacer in the rear?

IF I'm ordering rims for my s2000, what size/offset should I buy that can still fit on the NSX with or without spacers....

thanks
rick

I'm running my 18" with very aggressive offsets, I just like the flush to the fender look.

Front: 18x7.5 (+25), 215/35/18
Rear: 18x9.5 (+20), 265/35/18

Btw Rick, don't shoot me cause my X comes with sportshift.

REDNSXT: LOL, that was only a joke....hahaha but why Auto? :)

OK so I found a size fitment for the NSX that seems to also work with my honda s2000 so going to pick up a set of white ADAN RGII's.

the fronts seem to be just fine and really close in measurements.

NSX front = 18x7.5, +48
s2k front = 18x.75, +45

NSX rear = 18x9.5, +38
s2k rear = 18x9.5, +63

But for the rear, can I use a 25mm spacer to bring the offset same as the +38
recommended for the NSX on a 18x9.5" rim?

MATH: 63 - 38 = 25mm spacer needed

thanks

Work VSKF

Not lowered configuration:

Front: 18x8 +47 225/35R18
Rear: 18x10 +59 285/35R18

If lowered with Tein coilovers use 8mm spacers on the rear to avoid rubbing.

With the above sizes, you can easily use the 15mm bolt-on spacers for the front, and 25mm spacers for the rear. Make sure the centerbores are correct.
But I think you should run either 17/18 or 18/19 on your car. Here is a pic of my 18/19s.

In general, if you want 18" wheels at both ends, the best tire sizes are 215/35-18 front and 265/35-18 rear, to optimize handling, TCS, rubbing, etc. 225/35-18 fronts tend to rub (some people say they don't rub, but many others do).

Most 215/35-18 tires are approved for rims 7.0-8.5 inches wide, so your best bet is 18x7.5 or 18x8. Most 265/35-18 are approved for 9.0-11.0 widths, so 18x9.5 or 18x10 are fine. DO NOT use wheels outside of the approved range, as it is a potential safety issue.

you can check mine out friday night mine are 18's all around

Oh I was not aware you were running 18's all around! I was busy Friday but will check it out next time!

Steve, your car is looking SIICK as always, thanks for that picture! My custom Volk's will be a 18/19 combo so no worry but my main reason for asking this question is that I'm trying to order some s2000 wheel offsets that can also fit the NSX.

The fronts seem to be easy but for the rears, I want to run a 18x9.5 but apparently the ADVAN RGII's do not come in that width and biggest is 18x9 with a 45mm offset.

nsxtasy: Thanks for your post, your info is REALLY helpful. My issue is not rim width but moreso the offsets since I want it to fit the s2000 with no rubbing, etc and fit the NSX if I had to use spacers or vice versa (spacers on s2000 but not on NSX)

I'm still 50 / 50 on the fence about WHITE or GOLD rims on a Rio s2000.

I found a set of nice silver BBS LM's for an s2000 in these sizes:

18x8.0 +50 (front)

18x9.5 +55 (rear) **Can I use a 20mm spacer on the rears to make these work?

(Tires are Falken Ziex 512 225x40x18 and 255x35x18)

thanks

Certainly the 20mm spacer can be put on to achieve a net 35mm ET. This would look quite flush.

18x8.5 +35mm front with 215 35 18

and

18x9.5 +35mm rear with 265 35 18

edit: If I remember right, I believe these pics of my car 2 years ago I was running 25mm spacers in the rear though!! :)

Steve, awesome exactly what I wanted to know!

thanks for the voicemail - was out of town all weekend with no cell access but I just might take you up on that offer. Still waiting for my custom order Volks so wanted to play with offsets and spacers on the car a bit.
