why did my thread move without being moved?

The thread about my first nsx drive has mysteriously moved from "General Discussion" to the "New & Prospective Owners / Car History / Comparisons". This seems out of place, and it doesn't even have a 'moved' shortcut in the General Discussion forum.

It happened after nsxprime went offline last night. Is the database whacked or is admin playing games with me?

Maybe because after your test drive you are considered about to become a "new & prospective owner"

When a thread is moved, there are two options. One is to leave a re-direct copy with arrow in the original forum, and the other is to not leave it. Lud probably forgot to check the copy/redirect radio button.

Thanks for the explaination KGP... still doesn't make sense why Lud would move it to the prospective owners section. If anything, I thought it would have been moved Offtopic after all the talk about NSX-virginity.

I moved it because that seemed to be the appropriate forum. It is certainly NSX related so I do not see it going to Off Topic.

I move 10+ threads a day. I only leave a redirect in rare cases otherwise redirects would clutter up all the forums and in some cases just encourage people to post in the wrong forum.
