I plan on using the power wires for the Bose door speakers as the speaker wires for my aftermarket speakers. What is the best way to get to the connector C409 for the drivers side and C472 for the passenger side? The electrical troubleshooting book shows the connectors with the dash removed (not happening). I thought maybe someone could give me another way of getting to them.
Thanks,
John

first what year.

and what are you tring to do? replace with new speakers not using the Bose set-up? kinda alot of info we need before we can help

and why dont you use the OEM wires for the door amp input? and not the power wires inless your gonna run 15" subs on the door pushin 3000 watts. the common thing to do is use the input wires that go to the bose speaker unit.

there are 5 wires, power, ground, remote turn-on and (+ and - input) ( left or right depending on the door)

so use the + and - for the speaker your putting in.

1991. Dumping the bose setup and going with Focal speakers. The power wires for the Bose amp is a much bigger gauge than the wire which is only carrying signal. Yep, it would be easier, but not what I'm looking for.

I am doing a multiple install of double din gps, remote amps, sirius, passport 9500ci radar detector, and alarm system.

I do this all the time, it's pretty easy (relatively) to get at them in the kick panels.

You can just look up in the kick panel and see the harness that comes in through the door jamb.
