woodward dream cruise meet? (August 16th)

I propose a meet. If I can get enough interest and commitments, I'll see if I can reserve a spot on Woodward for us. I need to know how many people can make it (confirmed) so I know what size spot I need to reserve.

I will be there for a few days prior to the event. I can be reached through this thread or my email, [email protected]
 
Imports are booed by alot of people in this event.
Some people even booed the Ferraris that were there.
 
I know they were. All I'm suggesting is meeting up. If people want to look the other way, that's their choice. But if we could get a meet together, I seems like a great way to meet some fellow NSX'ers and enjoy an event that, to me anyway, is a whole lot of fun even if it isn't focused on the exotic cars.

I'll be there regardless, but I thought that a meet could be made of this. Maybe I'm wrong. I guess I'll just have to wait & see...
 
i'll be there.
a few people snapped pictures of my nsx the last time i crusied, no boos or thumbs down.
in all i saw 4 other nsx's that day.
 
We feel your pain on the "import" guys getting boo'd....we are setting up a "Cruising New Woodward" section during the Dream Cruise where ALL newer cars are welcome. We have Vettes, Hyundais, F-Bodies, and a few Ferraris in our lot.

Saturday we have a limited number of VIP spaces available in our "Cruising New Woodward" section. $120 will secure you a parking space, BBQ lunch for two, and a special event t-shirt. The spaces are in a big lot South of 11 Mile, West side of Woodward. Many vendors will be on hand displaying products (Ronal, Vette Essentials, Flexivity, Ramchargers, & Aprilia to name a few). If you are interested in one of these spots please email [email protected] for details.

maybe S3's location would work. AutoEurope also has a space available if we want it. It's right on Woodward just north of 14 Mile.

As a tentative time, we could agree to meet at 12:00 noon at one of those locations, or maybe meet for breakfast prior to the show. There is a Bob Evans just off the expressway on 14 Mile that would serve well (if you guys and gals can stomach the food).

Let me know what I can do to help make this meet a reality...
 
I can make it. I just talked to a buddy of mine who is going to bring a Enzo. :D It will be parked with all the other Ferraris off the strip.
 
okay. we should decide just where and when we want to meet. If the S3 location works, that would be fine. I'm open to suggestions if that location doesn't work. Maybe it would be a good idea to meet up prior to the car show (that morning or the night before). I don't know, so give me some input. Like I said, I'm more than happy to arrange lodging and parking if need be.




prov4re, where are you and your friend parking? I'd love to see the Enzo in person...

I will be driving in Friday night. Probably staying in Windsor. Just tell me where to be and how to get there and I am in. If it requires that I purchase a VIP spot, no problem. Let me know.
 
I hope you guys can make it to our spot - we are seriously trying to build up a "new car" area for Woodward.

Your VIP spot will also be good for Friday evening.

If you are interested, let's get the ball rolling right away. We are about ready to print the t-shirts, so we can still add the NSX Prime logo to them (with permission from the trademark owner).

Camp out or staging area?

Hi everyone,

I live in Birmingham and am only 3 blocks away from Auto Europe. I don't know if there's even going to be a need, but I'm trying to convince the wife to open up our humble home (1000 sq. ft 1940s bungalow) or at least the yard, BBQ, and facilities to NSX owners joining in on the Dream Cruise.

Do you think there's going to be a need or interest? Although I'm not yet an NSX owner, I excited at the prospect of hosting a group of fellow auto enthusiasts over at my place for at least part of the day.
 
The Enzo wont be there until the last day.:( Pebble beach is that week and its going to be tight to go to both events. There is a Ferrari club that is having a get together in down town Royal Oak I am going to be bring my X and a couple buddys in vipers. We are still looking for parking.

Hey Carguy how is your SC doing? Did you get all the bugs worked out yet? Are you going to bring the TR on sunday?

I look forward to seeing the Enzo also, I will have to make it the last day.

My SC is running pretty well, I am still going to have some additional tuning done a little later this year in the fall. I am planning on bringing the NSX, I haven't been driving the TR much lately. I recently put a 730hp engine in my 911TT and I have been driving that and my NSX this summer.

I look forward to seeing all of you again!!!

Just let me know where everyone decides to meet.
 
my nsx is sold and will be picked up next week so it doesn't look like i'll be joining you guys... unless i get my new car by then... whatever it may be.
 
i'd love to meet up at S3's spot, but I'm afraid my 97 Sebring isn't quite up to snuff for that. Plus I don't have $120 extra right now. :(

If anyone wants to car pool, that would be very cool. :D

I am fairly certian I will come up. Its just a busy week for me that week chicago and back to college. But I think the trip up just to see an enzo in person is worth it enough.

I just don't need to do anything crazy or well alteast let the MD state police thing settle before I go ripping around michigan:cool:

By the way im from ohio just north of columbus in mansfield (small ass town)
 
Just got my 91 blk/blk nsx last week and I'm not sure if it will be ready for the dream cruise. I need to work on polishing and waxing it. Please let me know when things get finalized and I'll try to get my car ready by then. I live off 14 mile and dequindre so its basically 10-15 minutes drive. Hope to meet other fellow NSXers.
 
If everything works out I should be there :D

Kevin may also come up with me since we will be down at school just being bums and partying

I am not 100% ceritan as of yet but if you want to meet up and go up i'll either be comming from Dayton or i'll be back at home in mansfield.
