Worldwide NSX Sales Figures

There has been some discussion here about how NSX sales in the States compare with those worldwide. Here are some figures for other markets, taken from Honda's website for media releases. Note that sales figures below are by calendar year and will not match figures by model year such as those in the FAQ section on "Production Numbers".

Japan:

Has anyone ever mistaken you for a Webster's Dictionary... great info. With some of the talk recently on the next gen car and looking at the first few years only of units produced by these figures. I don't think i'm being to optimistic in thinking Acura could sell that many cars again if they wanted. But its evident the improvements need to be more often. By the way, thanks for the advice on joining the NSXC and I got your e-mail. You must be Ken.

ok so the "world" totals (by calendar year & not including the countries, islands, and continents not included on Honda's website & with USA sales as a percentage complete w/built-in error what with calendar/model year & certain parts of the earth not on the list) be:

1990 - 2018 (USA = 55%)
1991 - 6563 (USA = 30%)
1992 - 2244 (USA = 51%)
1993 - 1399 (USA = 47%)
1994 - 967 (USA = 55%)
1995 - 1391 (USA = 64%)
1996 - 734 (USA = 63%)
1997 - 708 (USA = 59%)
1998 - 445 (USA = 68%)
1999 - 345 (USA = 69%)
2000 - 299 (USA = 74%)
2001 - 233 (USA = 78%)

(these numbers are, I am certain, also subject to errors in my arithmetic)

and finally - THE TOTAL...

17,346 with 8,101 sold in the US. (47%)


(Honda website total is 7,919 which doesn't include 2001's 182)
