SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Chrysler LLC, drowning in debt as car sales continue to spiral, bumped its request for an additional $3 billion in federal loans to $5 billion on Tuesday and submitted a blueprint to legislators mapping out a survival strategy to back its plea.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Chrysler LLC presented its new turnaround plan to the federal government Tuesday and said it'll need an additional $5 billion in additional federal loans to allow the company to survive.
so i'm guessing the earlier, "is it a rat or a mouse" discussion is nothing compared to this....
