Wasn't aware that Jenson Button was a spokesperson for Lotus.

Is the Emira just a re-badge of the Evora, or is it a whole new car?
motortrend.com said:The Emira, which goes into production next April, is built on the new Sports Car Architecture (SCA) developed in-house at Lotus. Constructed using the same bonded aluminum extrusion technology developed in the mid-1990s for the Elise chassis, SCA differs in every dimension from any previous Lotus platform, including that of the almost identically sized Evora. The biggest benefit of SCA is that it endows the Emira with a roomier interior than the Evora.
that's a lot of glue!!!!
Pulled up some numbers to compare to the NA1/2........... Talk about an NA1/2 successor! Those numbers look tasty especially with a MT

My wife would like one but it's not something we're willing to pay a steep premium on. At the moment we're looking at used BMW M2 Competition for her and slightly used models are going for more than they were new. It's crazy right now.Great minds think alike! I pulled up the same numbers yesterday.
I just found out about the Emira yesterday. I’ve only sat in a Lotus once before which was the exige, too wild for my liking. I like the direct Lotus has gone with the Emira, I really like the numbers above. I know the prices are to start at $80k but I wouldn’t be surprised to get to $90k with couple of options. It’ll be interesting to see it in person.
Several weeks ago, when this car was released, the hype was strong. Social Media was filled with "car dudes" posting about having made deposits. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a significant markup on the first year units. Please report back about your experience! I'd be super curious.ADM? Lol I’m guessing it’s not something I can simply google
I received a call back message from the authorized Lotus dealer in the area, unfortunately missed their call. I’m looking forward to learning more about this car. I haven’t been this excited about a car in my budget in a long time.
I called my local dealer and they wanted $5k deposit to get on the list to order one and he said the first ones won't be here for about a year. He said he heard about 600 total in the US in the first year.
Hey Ron,
I called Auto Europe on Woodward, anyone else you’d recommend?
That's who I called, did they tell you the same thing they told me?
