Original 1991 NSX spare wheel for sale anyone?

As a subsitute a Mercedes space saver can be used, either as a replacement tyre or with slight mods to the wheel as a wheel and tyre. See. http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/showthread.php?9109-spare-tyre and the link within it to modify a Mercedes wheel.

Can a NA1 pass Euro 4+ Emission Standards?

Quick answer NA1 probably not, NA2 maybe. For the later it may comply with the Euro 4 standard, but whether it would be universally accepted is a separate question. Longer answer. Manufacturers were required to comply with the new requirements on specific dates. Therefore all new cars...

Door seal (aka vapor barrier) part number mystery

Without knowing the vagaries of US, Euro LHD cars; I would suspect the difference is the fabricated box out within which the electronic window/ locking(?) controller sits. On UK RHD cars this is on RH (UK drivers) side, from memory the LH (UK passengers) side is plain. If you have the door cards...

    2001 spare

Solution 1, use a Merc SLK wheel and tyre see: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/146133-Spacer-Saver-Wheel-and-Tyre Solution 2, use the tyre only from a Merc SLK and get your local tyre fitter to bring blood to his eye balls by removing [the non removable OEM tyre from the OEM rim]...

    Compliance pivots causing alignment issues

Your car dos'n't pull to the left or the right. The tracking print out is in spec, but your steering wheel is 10 degrees off centre. So it's just that the steering wheel isn't dead ahead when you're driving in a straight line. If that's the case, just go back to your tracking people, have them...

    Spare Tire

Two solutions, i)buy a second hand NSX spare, have the rotted rubber removed and replace with newer from a second hand Mercedes SLK, ii) just buy the mounted second hand SLK wheel and tyre and adjust the pcd to fit. See the text and links in these earlier post here ...

New owner. NSX tools "must have" list

For any OEM 'cross headed' screws/fixings make sure your screwdrivers conform to a JIS standard, do not use a standard 'philips' screwdriver. See my earlier post for why:- http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/177930-Busted-heads-and-furry-fixings?p=1747994#post1747994

EPS Electronic Power Steering Please help.

See the attached for the location of the Vehicle Speed Sensor [VSS1] - No 7, and the Differential Speed Sensor [VSS2] - No 8. If you think that they are unplugged or loose surely thats the answer before replacement with new?

EPS Electronic Power Steering Please help.

Jaffraz32, You can also and very easily trigger the EPS31 code if your main relay is starting to fail, and introduces intermittent, momentary 'cuts' in power. Have you seen, say, the speedo and rev counter drop to zero and then resume their previous position. Duncan

    Busted heads and furry fixings

Over the years, whilst working on old cars and bikes, I’ve come to hate Philips [slot headed] fixings with a vengeance, it’s that sinking feeling of knowing that you will round the head off before it will screw out. New to me, is that the Philips headed fastener was doing just what it was...

    OEM Spare Tire Removal

The answers are; yes you [a tyre shop] can remove a collapsable spare, yes they can also replace with another. However, in the UK at least new collapsable tyres are not available for purchase, so you will have to rob from another wheel and tyre combo. Porsche 964s had similar wheel and tyre...

    Can't dip headlamps

Kept lo[dip] HIDs, but replaced hi[full] beam HID lamps with halogen H1 bulbs; all now OK, hi[full] and lo[dip] operate normally and as expected. Removed lamps, wiring and ballast units and bench tested these, both work fine. Confused but relieved, I've no idea what caused the problem, all sets...

    Can't dip headlamps

Posting both here and NSXCB. I run gas discharge xenon ignitors and bulbs on all four headlamps. Went to use car last night, fully rotated lighting switch; L & R headlamp retractors up, hi[full] and lo[dip] beams on, blue hi beam warning light on. Pulled turn signal/dimmer switch to go to...

    Great service from Briank

A/C system worked fine however inspection of my CCU board showed signs of leakage and distress. I chose to replace the capacitors myself resulting in a less operable CCU than before; with that as the background, Braink accepted and repaired my board. Thumbs up to Braink, great service, kept...

    Spacer Saver Wheel and Tyre

In the UK the price of a replacement wheel and tyre after purchase tax is some 3,000 USD further, the supply of replacement folding tyres is denied to the retail market. Similar wheels are tyres are fitted to other vehicles; with adaption those from a Mercedes SLK can fit, see my post on the UK...
