I tried getting my rear wing off last night but couldn't.

I took off the screws underneath and was expecting it to just lift off. However it's stuck. I looked in the groove and see some sort of padded sticker holding it down. I don't want to stick a knife in there.

What should I do to loosen it up?

When i had taken mine off there was no trick to it...did exactly what you did ...im sure that it is just stuck on there ...i would try alittle bit of pressure to get it off....dont forget that there is a wire that goes thru the wing when u get it up...i disconnected mine and covered it well and tucked it back in so i could get to it later if i had to......goood luck

I recall a thread (no pun intended!!) a while back discussing that the wing originally is double stick taped to the trunk, before the wing is bolted down.

The trick is to use a piece of thread to actually cut the tape in half between the wing and the trunk, then it will come off and you can remove the glue.

Never did it, just read about it:).

Fishing line aka monofilament also works if you cant find dental floss

If you can't find dental floss, you need to visit the dentist pronto! :D

Take a blow dryer and heat up the double stick tape and apply pressure to lift up the wing. Take it slow and it'll pop off.

As soon as you get enough clearance, you can use an x-acto knife to severe the expanding tape.

Hope this helps.
