Just wondering if anyone out there is using the Dali coolant Tank and if you have had any coolant leaking from the overflow hose. I have had the Tank now for three years and never had a problem what so ever even with tracking the car. Now this year I noticed a small trickle of coolant coming from the rear overflow hose everytime I drive the car. I went out a bought a new cap played with the level of coolant etc and still I get a trickle any ideas out there what might be going on.

Do a search as this was discussed a year or two ago. Apparently the Dali tank does not hold as much as the stock tank, and if too full can overflo with high RPM excursions, IIRC.

Also be aware that there could be a blown head gasket and you may be pressurizing your cooling system every time you drive the car.

I have worked on solving that problem using the stock tank. Please see the attached picture of what I've done. I've also solved what I believe seems to be the weakness of the stock tank by expoxing the seam before painting the tank. I know of at least 3 colors I can get to look this good. Blue, red, and black. Let me know if this might be a fix for you.

Also if the head gasket is blown, then your engine temp. will start to rise quite quickly and it's possible you might see water in the oil. If there is water in the oil, look for a foamy moacha colored coating on the dipstick.

I have just found out that we have limitations on the size of image we can attach to this forum. So for those who want to see what the coolant tank looks like and get more detailed info. on it's cost then please email me at [email protected] or [email protected] and I will send it via that route.

P.S. This tank has been tested in the field of battle at Laguna Seca this past weekend. Paint is holding up fine, and no coolant leaks anywhere.
:D

My oil level is the same looks clean the dip stick is clean my oil cap is clean my temp gauge is normal. I'm trying another cap and taking out some more coolant so it will be a little less than half full and see what happens then.
