Hi

There are a lot of planning behind this. What I did not plan was to have the digicam with me when I first started to install all this. But I used my Nokia E65 and the quality is okey. I will take more pictures probably with a lot better quality next time.

Well here goes:

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/16092009_002_.jpg" />

I have more than this to get installed. The 10" Hertz sub is on it's way and will maybe be here tomorrow. It will be in a Zetoolman box.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/20092009_003_.jpg" />

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/20092009_004_.jpg" />

It was a lot easier to do it like this. Velcro came to my rescue and I think it will work okey. It would have been next to impossible to get the amp mounted with ordinary screws.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/20092009.jpg" />

Here is the 1.5 farad cap. It will be hidden. I am okey with that. Made a custom plate in white which you can see there on the picture.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/20092009_006_.jpg" />

Left amp mounted. It is not a showroom installment. I have seen some crazy good installment on this board. But this is okey. The SOS plates are very nice. The cap is behind that and the placement is very good.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/20092009_002_.jpg" />

Connectorbox and all the wires is hidden behind the "carpet" over the taillights.

I have a lot of work to do. The right amp which will power the Seas Lotus Ref speakers will be mounted the next time. And all wires will be ready to go through the mid consoll.

I will take some more pictures of where I have the wires and all that. The plan is the same as the SOS installment. Used D'Ecosse's super post here to guide me through this.

In the end I will have 2*150w to the Seas Lotus Ref series speakers. And 1*480w to the Hertz 10" sub in the Zetool box. I already have the Grom Ipod adapter installed behind the drivers seat and the cord in the mid box between the seats.

I am really looking forward to get all things set.

I will update this thread with more pictures in higher quality the next time.

Regards

Hi

This is how the sub will look like. I have Hrant's both with a hole and the short one.

Looks okey

Looks like a good project. Did you already store your car for winter?

Hi

No it is getting colder and colder. I hope that I get everything done before winter is here.

Not that much left. Tomorrow I will get the last amp mounted. And I will get all cables into the coupe. Probably the mid speaker in the passanger door will be mounted. Then it is only the tweeters in both doors and ofcourse the mid in the driver door. And hook up the sub and get all the wires put where they are supposed to be.

I see that on friday the forecast is 1 degree celcius. Not fun at all. But I have chosen to live here.

Regards

Hi

Got some more hooked up today.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_0354.JPG" />

This is where the power comes through. It is kind of hard to get in perspective. But it is behind the carpet there. You will find it if you look on the left side of your trunk behind the carpet.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_03561.JPG" />

Plus cord and fusebox next to the oem fuse box.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_0357.JPG" />

Hole on the right side. I made it larger than it was as there where three speaker cables, two rca's and remote going through there. I had a new rubber thingy which fits the hole too.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_0360.JPG" />

The hole from engine bay into the coupe.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_0361.JPG" />

This is the cords coming through into the coupe.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_03642.JPG" />

All this will go through the middel section. Will work on that tomorrow.

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_03651.JPG" />

Right amp

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/1173/medium/IMG_03662.JPG" />

Left amp. I will probably do something with the velcro. But it will stay like that until everything is tuned and okey. I have to tune the amp for both the Seas Lotus Ref and the Hertz as the sub will not get the high Hz. And the Seas will not get the low Hz.

Had a look at how the speakers will be mounted in the doors. That is next. The sub is yet not here. But maybe tomorrow.

Hi

Today I took out the AC and stereo. I will replace two bulbs on the AC. Well actually there are three bulbs that are dead. But I have only two ready to be put in. If I could find them. They are here somewhere.

I saw in D'Ecoss'es gallery where to put the wires in the center consoll.

I will change the green strips to black ones. I had only green ones left the other day.

The wire for the sub is straightforward. I have to work a little bit with finding the oem wires for he speakers in the doors. I have the SOS thing and it should be the purple and green wires on the oem HU for the speakers in the doors.

On sunday I will get the speakers put in and the crossovers. Probably the sub too. Then everything should be hooked up and ready to be powered up.

The last thing before powering up is ofcourse to charge the cap and get all the fuses put into place.

And ofcourse to get the center consoll put on again and the trims here and there.

Then it is winter here. Saw some snow today actually. But this stereo installment really makes me look forward to next year.

I will write a shopping list when I get around to it.

Regards

nice seats! :)

Hi

Thanks. Yes they look super good. I am so happy I did not go for red inserts which was the plan for some days until I came to my senses.

Be sure to detail the car when you're finished and before you put the panels back in. I see lots of dust :eek:

Otherwise, congrats on doing the install yourself.

Hi

I have only me and a lot of help from my dad. That is why I do it myself.

I have collected ideas/url's since 2003. I have bought everything I would need for the install after reading Prime. I do think that I got everything now and a lot of stuff is already mounted.

It will be a testdrive of the install on sunday.

Dust? Yes. The panels has not been off since the car was built. So there may be dust. I will do some cleaning before the panels are put back on. The panels may not be put back on before april 2010 as winter is very soon here and the garage is not large enough to be doing any work in. There will be some vacuuming done too before I am finished.

Regards
