So I have this pristine 02 NSX and I just fell in to some money. Time to get another toy, right!??! So now the dilemma starts and I am looking for advice. For discussions sake, lets take the existing NSX out of the choice equation and, thus, what to buy. I have $200M spend and so many options.......Help!

This assumes you have zero debt, the $200K is after tax money, you own your home, the NSX is paid for, etc. Right?

save money, and make investment instead of buying another toy. it is a waste. nsx is already a good car. no need another one. it can be DD and track. enough fun.

$200M = $200,000,000

Thats A LOT of nice cars.

But seriously don't get ghetto rich here. I assume that anything else you want in life (college savings, low mortgage payments, no debt, etc) are taken care of?

If it were me, it would be USED to start with, for sure.

R8
F430
Gallardo Spyder

Let me get this straight...you have 200 million to spend or did you mean to type 200K?

(Edit)

After looking at your previous posts, I see that you use 'K' when you mean thousand, therefore I take it you mean million with the 'M'. With that being said, you can pick any car under the sun for $200,000,000.00.

I have to ask since your budget is 200 million, is that the total sum that you "fell into" or just the portion you're allocating for a car?

(Certainly not looking for amounts here, just a friendly yes or no...)

I was wondering the samething.

1) McLaren F1.
2) Pagani Zonda

3) Saleem S7

Other then the Saleem, not really sure how accessible these cars are even with unlimited funds. But they are on my wishlist.

If 200K is the limit.
1) Ford GT
2) r8
3) Telsa (not a popular choice especially with 130 as the top speed but I love the concept)

Both the Ford GT and R8 supposedly have NSX like qualities like every day drivability(R8 and Ford GT) and build quality(r8)

How's that retirement fund by the way pluse your other portfolios?

First , one M is thousands and two MM is million. Lets assume common sense may has not completely left me and investing, retirement, college will be taken care of. This Q is that if you only had $200,000.00 and could only own to FUN cars what would they be? I 100% agree that used is the place t start!

First , one M is thousands and two MM is million.

I know "M" is roman for "1000" and that MM would be (1000 x 1000 = 1.000.000) but is M usually used to note (1000) when used like that (i.e. $200M)?

I was just wondering. I'm not exactly sure myself. But usually I see "K" used to denote thousand and "MM" to denote million.

Come on guys what's with the other irrelevant questions ? :frown: Just answer his question. I'm sure if he can afford a 200,000.00 car he knows what to do with his money.

I would probably choose a Gallardo or a GT3 RS. The only thing that would make me think twice is the German electrical parts on either car. A German anything does not have near the reliablity or build quality of a Honda product.

3 NSXs? Just get every color :p. You could get the Saleen, it would def turn some heads and make even give you some whiplash.

Add right up to about 200K. One is comfy, luxurious, sexy with 4 seats. The other is a track ANIMAL that is the funnest thing on 4 wheels for short bursts.

I'd say for $200k I'd do the following:

1) Keep the NSX off course.
2) Maserati Quattroporte (need a proper Saloon Sports Car) for around $60k-$70k
3) Lamborghini Gallardo (Dunno why, but they always rise to the top of my list) for $100k-$120k
4) $10k-$40k left in mods depending upon how you shop. Hell maybe even buy a Lotus Esprit for $30-$40k.

More Ideas:
5) Get rid of the BMW 5-Series.
6) Take that money and buy Nissan GT-R (maybe hold out for a Spec V) or Vette ZR-1...

Its not like the $$$ seems to be that much of an issue :)

2005 Imola Orange Pearl Acura NSX = 70k
2004 Verde Ithaca Lamborghini Gallardo = 130k

That'd be what I'd choose, under the assumption i have a daily driver and have enough garage space to store these garage queens away.

Hmmm...tough.

Daily Use:
08 Mercedes CLK63 Black -enough room and performance for two adults+looks the part

Track/Street Use:
08 Ascari KZ1 - no one has them in the U.S. hardly and its a track machine.

Now we are in the spirit! I hadn't thought about the Lotus seriously but it is now on the list. Before I started the thread a Ferrari seemed like one of the cars (360?) but you can't put too many miles on it so that started the "second car" dilemma. Ideally a cool driver and possibly a track car. My NSX is just too nice to track?!?! Thus the challenge with this budget if you don't reach back too far in the cars age.

Not to divert us from this topic but does anyone know this shop and did anyone see this car (FT565) at SEMA last year?

If it were me.........
I'd get a used Maserati Quattroporte (buying one new is practically throwing money in the gutter) and an F355 and still have enough left over to mod the crap out of one or both.

Fixed. :D

CS or Scudeira. Limited production, epic stylintg, Ferrari Heritage and instant Ferrari collector car status.

Otherwise if you can spend a bit more - Porsche Carrera GT - prices have gone up $75k in the last 2 years. Another instant collector car.
