Far out what a close one.....

On the way home from work and a ute was toying with me, we sat at the lights together, it went green and he gunned it, I was not ready for it so had to play a little catch up, only got him at at 6k in 3rd by a foot

A wee bit naughty though, its night time here and the road was clear . I had nevered noticed one of these on the streets here. Got home and googled it straight away. It had FPV on the side, the only real give away that it was something special.

Little did I know it had the BOSS V8 in it. 315kw obviously not enough for the high reving, light weight antique lol.

Please dont preach....next time take it to church.....

Last week a 20 year old woman was killed in San Jose when two vehicles that were street racing struck her car. The week before in San Jose, a 22 year old male was killed when he was street racing and his vehicle struck a tree.

I'm not preaching, just that actions have consequences.

I'm just asking to keep us all safe.

Yeah I know and I normally dont say anything when I see these types of posts but I figured you know me and wouldn't get too angry about it. I just think a comment like that isn't going to change the person's mind and it more than likely falls on deaf ears. And it is kind of preachy.

Yes we all know of the stories of people killing themselves and innocents and street racing is irresponsible behavior no doubt but peopel are going to do what they want and telling them not to street race in a post just seems to come off as preaching/arrogance and I dont think has much affect on the OP or anyone else. Thats all.

Your completly right people shouldn't street race especially those driving NSXs since it gives us all a bad name.

BTW - The poster is in New Zealand so we are safe.

actually I expected that Doug and Ken would be all over the OP for his improper use of the word to.

well let me be the first to say Lucky you!! the other members do it but they wont admit it, or talk about it!!

Or your use of the "your"!

Please don't street race. Next time take it to the track.

Please don't drink then drive. Next time leave the keys at home.

Reality is that alot of the guys at the NSX meets that you have attended and plan on in the future are all guilty of this to some degree.

Why don't you create some pamphlets and throw on your robe.

Way more people die from DUI than street racing. I suspect it's more like 10 fold.

People that drink and drive have a wider demo and psychographic base than street racers, who happen to come from a more narrow range of young adult (mostly male) drivers. Folks that drive and drive have been much older than the average age of the street racers. For example, the old cricket that had one too many egg nogg (with the proper ingredients) for the holidays.

And what about the couple that just celebrated New Years with Mr. Daniels and Captain Morgan?

I'm sure u've drank and figured that half a glass of Guiness wouldn't do no harm on the road. Afterall, ur a grown man and can "handle it".

Regardless of what the media spin might be on street racing, it's not even close to being an epidemic.

We're legal adults........

What's that suppost to mean Roger? Sheep have rights too.

Oh, by the way, it should read "...for his improper use of the word too."

Excuse me but I am confused. What does street racing have to do with DUI? Are you insinuating one justifies the other? This thread was about street racing not driving under the influence.

What are the psychographics of a street racer?

I think it would be better to NOT post kill stories so we can avoid these type of discussions. PEACE

What Batman is getting at is don't preach like your a saint if your committing acts that is statistically 10x's more deadlier than street racing. ( not that I endorse any of this stuff but I don't preach either because I know I am far from perfect )

I dont agree. I was pointing out the improper word "to" and so I referenced that word.

BTW - Can you please provide a definition for the word "suppost" from your post. I dont recognize this word.

Nice... are you modded or bone stock?

Doug,
The ignore function only works if someone doesn't quote the ignoree.

BATMANS, Good for you! You even found photographic proof of me with a beer bottle in front of me. How incriminating that is, and how embarrassed I must feel. Yes, I have a beer on occasion with my adult friends. Sometimes two! It's legal, and I never drive drunk. Sometimes I even have a margarita! It has tequila in it! Shame.

But I never street race. And I never drive drunk. Both are illegal. You may go ahead and post all the statistics all you like that one is more dangerous than another, but don't try to legitimize your dangerous testosterone-driven, ego-boosting, my-GTO-FD-is-faster behavior by saying that one bad action makes another one acceptable.

Please don't street race.

Now, back to the ignore feature...

And by the way, Mario was having a glass of wine that day too!
