so this is the start of my build from november 06 when purchasing from Kenji.. I am happy to say that the car moved faster and farther than I ever expected in the pursuit of not hearing "isn't that Kenji's car car was purchased 11/06
hope you all like
here is the start and the mods the car was purchased with
- HR Springs 1.5. lower than stock
- Koni Yellow rebound adjustable shock (only 5,000 miles on these shocks)
- Comptech 4.55 R&P gears - Exedy clutch with lightweight flywheel
- Japanese Type-R chassis reinforcement bars (top and bottom)
- Odyssey lightweight battery
- MOMO steering wheel with quick release hub
- Recaro SPG (drivers side) MOMO Start seats
- 1998 NSX headers w/custom cat bypass pipes
- Taitec carbon kevlar diffuser
- Taitec Lightweight center-exit exhaust
- Volk Racing bronze TE-37 wheels, front 17x7.5. rear 18x9.
- Taitec carbon kevlar diffuser
- Dali harness bar and Sparco harnesses
- SOS non-compliance rear toe links
- Wings West side skirt
- Carbotech Panther P+ brake pads
first thing I did was call the good folks at Downforce for a large dose of Kevlar as I love the kevlar diffuser and used it as a starting point. by 04/07 car has reached this point.
-downforce front lip
-downforce type-r spoiler
-downforce rwg
-downforce rear engine cover
next I added F1 spec racing recliners as the old bucket were a little on the tight side for my 220lbs
next I contacted the talented folks @ Memphis Car Audio and worked up a system that would suit the NSX and ring her back to date.. with this I installed a pioneer avic d3. the system consists of zeetool v3 box with memphis slim 10" a memphis belle 5 channel amp and their kevlar component set.
next was getting the interior done, and I considered a few local places with good reps but after speaking with the very talented Ravi from Umbrella auto design and viewing his master workmanship there was no other option in my mind. Best descision ever! everything fit so perfect and the finish was 2nd to none, Ravi was in constant contact and didn't release anything until he was proud to put his name on it, I am glad to say his hands have touched my vehicle wish we had someone like him in cali
here is a couple more pics of the car recently, I will work on getting current picture of the almost finish nitrous setup and finished interior as well (sorry Ravi I am a lager) included you will see big brake from AP Racing courtesy of KVR brakes in canada and a set of 18" Volk GTN's powder coated to match the interior and compliment the kevlar.
and a sneak peek to my new front, starting out with a shine auto lower bumpet but you all know I will add my own flair
Big up to everyone who has had a hand in helping me with her. first Memphis Car audio the best sponsors a guy could ever ask for(Thank you Jay and Tanner!!).. Jeremy and Waynee @ Redzone performance in fremont California, Ravi at umbrella auto design for updating the interior (hope I can afford the rest soon ), Autohaus for installing the audio goodies, Terry at KVR Performance in canada for his expertise in brakes, Aaaron from sactown NSX club for fixing CCU, Rexxnsx for the gorgeous trim rings and extra interior panels.
