guys I have an issue I selling my 2004 but after looking at this photo
I am not sure if I should sell it.

I love my 1992 but the 2004 looks so damn good. what do you guys think which should I keep or should I keep both?

I will be getting the new NSX in 2015 so add that to my problem.

If money is important ,and with a baby, and another on the way ,it should be! I would sell the one that would bring the best price.

I know it would be difficult but I would sell your beloved 1992 and keep the 04.

You put so much hard work into it.

Then put on the stmpo front and rear strut tower Bars and front chassis bar so that targa would be much stiffer than the coupe was.

The goal is not to own all of the toys, but to play with all of them.

I've gotta believe the 04.

thanks guys I am not worried it wont sell

I think when I see it driving away I will change my mind and throw the money back at him/her and pull him out of the car LOL

rebuilt correctly with complete history of the rebuild and all done correctly and properly.

if I was to buy a rebuilt i would be a lot more comfortable buying a rebuilt that had your damage (fire) that was isolated and completely rebuilt with correct parts (jasons car)

if it was a rebuilt that was a hit... then i would be a lot more hesitant. structural damage is not the same IMO as cosmetic

keeep all of them:smile:

Here's my .02c Take it for what it's worth, probably not much LOL

Sell your 92'. You've had it, enjoyed it etc etc.

Clearly you have attachment since you have just built the Silverstone top to bottom, keep the 04' and drive it.

THEN... when the 02' Blk is finished sell the 04'. That way, best of both worlds

Black/02+ that you hand re-built you know what you have and best combo of both.

Then, still buy the new one when it comes out as I believe I'll do the same

This way, free up some cash for the babies on the way and be able to enjoy 1 complete driveable NSX the entire time.

I wish

the 02 I am building is already sold. I was sent the deposit to rebuild it.

I wasnt going to rebuilt the 2002 for a few years. then I get an e-mail

money talks I guess

do you guys think I am asking to much for the 04? I dont think so

keep both for now... question is what to sell come 2015? then again, owning all 3 would be sweet.

Well since you asked....I think it's high...I wouldn't pay 60k for an 04 with a rebuilt title. I'm sure that you did a great job and didn't cut any corners. However, if an 04 with a rebuilt title is 60k...How much for an equal 04 or 05 with a clean title...75k???? IMHO...I would think someone only buys an 04 with a rebuilt title because they can't afford an equal clean titled 04. At 60k there's really no discount at all.

I'm no expert on pricing and I sincerely hope you get your asking price, but I think it's going to be considered high. Remember, most people fishing for an 04 have a decent amount of funds. Many will scratch this off their list simply by seeing a rebuilt title. Only you know how much work and love you put into it, so nobody will appreciate it as much. Buyers will always think they are getting damaged goods. In your ad, you note the superiority to non-rebuilt ones--and this may be true--but probably in your eyes and few others. You will get maximal value out of it by keeping it. However, if you get a great sale price that you are willing to accept, move it.

I wouldn't keep both unless money is no issue. Also remember, down the line, resale on the rebuilt will always be more difficult. Great build and GLWS.

There are two groups of na2 buyers. The first group can afford and will only buy mint and accident free car. They will not even consider your car. The second group are bargain buyers. They don't mind cars with accident like your 04 but they will not pay your asking price. They will try to low ball you as much as they can. My .02.

i have to agree with the above 3 posts.

the 04 is in spanking new condition, in and out as you did a killer top notch job. but i think it would be hard for a potential buyer to swallow the 60k due to the title, when there are some 02-05's that are in good condition in that same price range without the title.

but then again i no idea how much you are selling the 02 black rebuild for; so i could be wrong.

you can always put both the 92 and 04 on sale and see which one sells first, and have the decision made for you.

if i had to keep one; i definately would keep the 04, since the 02+s look very modern and new still; while the older ones do show their age. IMHO.

u put all ur heart into the 04. built/rebuilt it completely from scratch piece by piece.

no one deserves the '04 more then you.

I'm not sure what your profit margin would be even if you did get 60k for the 04, you will definitely not have as easy of a time selling it though. Even with comprehensive documentation of the rebuild a rebuilt title is still a rebuilt title in the eyes of a buyer and that is going to skew their valuation of it while you know it's worth every last penny.

From an outsider perspective I would just keep the 2004, with all of the work put into it you may as well enjoy it right?

Keep the '05 that you yet don't have ;)

I think your price is high for the '04 but I also think that if you sit on it for long enough somebody from overseas will buy it. If you look at the "how many are left" thread you can see that some of those cars are exported and to those buyers rebuilt title doesn't metter at all. Most of the exported cars going to Europe or middle east were shipped from FL anyways.

If I was you I would be looking for ways to advertise this car as much as possible to overseas buyers, you can ask Cam (Jetpilot3) for hints since his '02 was sold to a collector in Hong kong.
