Where are all the Production deliveries ??

Congrats to you both!

Sorry, I was in a rush to post earlier. Sadly, she's not mine; the dealer principal is the lucky new owner. I saw the transport truck pull into the dealership and had to get some pics (I'll post some more in the photos thread later). I'm a long, looong time Prime lurker  for whom the NSX is a dream. My stepdad bought a '93 Formula Red on black with 84k miles last month. First thing I told him when he started looking at them was that NSX Prime is the best resource online.

Thanks for the great reading guys!

Thanks Sadler, and indeed I've been on TOV and browsed Prime for about the same length of time... mid-late 90s
Just never registered here because the NSX is unobtainium, but now I'm helping my stepdad with maintenance and things so I may be posting more in the future. Sorry for going off topic!

Hi everyone,

VIN ending in 105 with plaque #00162 arrived in Memphis today

image_zps4tyvvzxi.jpg

If yours congrats for sure.
so another of the very few pix of source silver... But in Lionel Richie Edition

based on Vin and serial/chassis # this suggests US Vins are only 2/3s of the builds up to date of this car.
Curious if there is an actual build date stamped somewhere so we can get a better though rough feel of build to delivery timing?
though it may only list month and year vs exact date.
Hey chrisn, how about next time you decide to get out of your prized possession, you checkyour tags?

Hi Gadgetman, I tried to edit the post with the "Dancin' on the Ceiling" Source Silver, but I couldn't remove the original attached photo and photobucket has become a worthless joke riddled with ads... the engine cover pic was supposed to be another go of the original pic. Doing this from an iPhone probably isn't helping lol.

This car was built in August. If I find out more specifics I'll share.

Doing some bean counting

I saw 44 on Cars.com.

5 of which are clearly at resellers (MO, NV, UT, FL, CA).

There is a lower spec car being offered by someone named Adriana (unknown location).

The car in Peabody MA is listed twice (second at a Land Rover dealer in the same town).

I am not sure what to say about the denominator. Playbook 4 points to 92 shipped cars as of September 15. Expect at least 10 more were shipped since then.

So my guesstimate is 37 unsold cars at dealers/102 shipped, approximately 36%.

I agree this is not good but a bunch of these dealers are fouling the market.

I don't blame Acura for the reselling going on. As I have said before, these folks help make the market for exotic/hard to get/underserved markets.

A GOOD Delivery data point

Here's a data point:

Ok, the exact production sequence is still an unknown.

I've been told that they may go through in color batches.
I was frustrated since my official production acknowledgement gave me a "Unique ID" 695
(Thinking it would be many months until it arrived.)

My dealer told me (early spring) there are 240ish dealers who will receive these cars and his dealership is #139 on this list.
The dealer ordered the car about that time (early spring). Since then, until the time of the Monterey car show (August), there was no information flowing down to the dealership.
This past week, in frustration I asked them to check and confirm that SN 150 was delivered... It was!
So the question was:
"Where is our SN 139?
How does that relate to my "Unique ID?" (Still don't know.).
What about factory tours etc... (Unknown).

The answer came back that my SN 139 just completed production and being prepared for shipment!
WOW! Great suprise! I'm shocked!
My 1000 days of waiting are over!

The car should arrive in Los Gatos by the end of the month.
I am out of town so they will get it before I get back... picked the wrong weeks for vacation ;-)

More detail to follow next month.
Somewhat excited ;-)

TDUDER

Congratulations on your soon to be delivered car.

The lack of info flow has been standard practice (bad practice).

My dealer has worked hard at getting me details as they become available.

The cars are built in color batches, not just sequential Vin #s .

I do a weekly update on this thread after speaking with the NSX reps.

The tour info will be out very soon and tours will commence almost immediately after that.

Please share some details about your build and what else is/was in your garage.

Thanks for the confirmation.
We haven't really pressed for info along the way. Although lack of news has been frustrating at times, I've always figured its worth the wait...

Anyone want to try to figure out what this no reserve fleabay auction winner gets and at what price?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/034-2017-Ac...-2-weeks-/152251286001?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

The way I read it the winner will have to buy the dealer's already configured allotment at msrp plus an unstated "premium". 46 bids so far and either it is a lot of shilling or bidders don't realize they are not getting the car at the auction price so I am not entirely sure what this auction actually is other than misleading.

It seems to me that if the current high bidder wins he has to pay $60,000 + msrp of $196k + a "premium". I just can't believe the bidders are real and/or able to comprehend the auction details.

Interesting development on this one. I reported the auction as having questionable bidding and the high bidder's bid has now disappeared and the bid is at $20,300. But that new high bidder does have auto-bid enabled up to $59,000 since I saw the bidding history before the $60k bid vanished.

Just got the call..my car is arriving later today at the dealer in Jax..i will pick up weekend 10/8 and drive down to S fl..Pics will follow shortly thereafter...
