Announcement: Nsxpo 2016 thread

Thank you for all of your info and support. My brother teaches for the Porsche driving school. I'm not really a track guy but I would love to get the car out on a long straight.

Once we register for NSXPO I'm sure there will be time to plan. Can any of you NSXPO veterans give me a rundown of how these events work? I want ot make sure not to miss anything. I booked early at the hotel and plan to arrive on Wednesday the 2nd.

My car just had the complete Larry B experience last year (timing belt, hoses, wires, plugs, abs repair, and more). I also put on new brakes and rotors. Oil was just changed and I will probably change it again before the event. I love this car! It is a young 1991 that just broke 30,000.

You car was maintained by the best!

Larry is a good personal friend of mine, prior President of the NSXCA and the best tech there is. I have 111 track days and over 12,000 track miles on my '96 (over 158,000 total miles) and Larry does all my maintenance and track prep.

I have been an Officer of the NSXCA since 2004 and have been to every NSXPO since 2001 (except 2014 when I got married) and have been involved in the planning of every one since 2004. All attendees (social and track) will be getting a packet after registration with the itinerary and more details of the events but if you have any specific questions please feel free to reach our to me directly either pm here or via email at rondrovic at bgclawfirm dot com.

Just checking in on registration info, ok carry on and hope the ponies are out for the summer

Beta testing the site the past two days. There is a glitch at the moment for those with aol email addresses so chasing that gremlin and hope to go live after the weekend. We are now using an outside vendor to revamp to avoid past problems and site issues.

Yes I can get another truck, I have two 6 car trailers and two 4 car trailers. Thats a lot of NSX's.

Don't Know if any if you were still looking for a transporter, the guy that Rob has contracted with, is reaching out to everyone now. If you want to ship your car raise your hand now. Let Rob, or me know, I will forward your contact information to him.

An East coast caravan would be a great way to help kill the boredom of the I-95 drive...
John are you going to take 2 cars??? jeff

John/Jeff

What time are you leaving? Tuesday? We will be coming down I-95 in that area at about 4pm-5pm and will be looking for dinner. Maybe we can meet up.

Maybe coordinate with us Jacksonville folks? We may meet SW of JAX and make "the run" through Ocala National Forest and back roads to the hotel. We haven't set a meet time yet though.

Don't know who needs to know, but I've changed my plans; I extended my hotel reservations to include Wednesday evening. I had originally planned to meet everyone at KSC Thursday morning. What the heck, YOLO, right?

Doug, the riff-raft from Texas and one from Australia will be getting there late afternoon on Wednesday. We'll be alcohol starved by then.

Yes the riff raft from Australia will very very thirsty, its a long trip!

You talking taking 17 down to 19 and through the forest?

Yeah, I think that's the one. Need to look at a map though....great drive. It'll almost certainly be me, BUGS2K and maybe Netviper but he is up in Augusta now, so meet him on the way down?

Hardly and twists and no elevation changes to make it interesting, pretty much straight. After driving 1000 miles, I think the others from up north would agree with me and prefer to get into Orlando at lunchtime. We will stay on I-95 to I-4.
Thanks for the offer though. See you guys at event.

I would do anything rather than take I-95 from Jax to Daytona, then fight down I-4 all the way past Disney to the hotel. I doubt you will do it much quicker than we will and you definitely won't have as much fun. Ask the aforementioned members about the last run after NSXCapades last year. No cobwebs after that one.

If you came to Florida for twisty's and mountain roads you are in for a shock.... the roads around Mt Dora are the best we have AFAIK. But I see your point after 1k.

^^^^^ Boca Rat believes so strongly in his response he posted it twice!

What time are you leaving south Florida doug? I was actually planning to drive up Thursday morning with you lol. Guess that's not going to happen! Lol

I was planning to work half day on Wednesday November 2, so I figure I'd leave for Orlando from Northern Broward County around 12:30pm.

Hope to see some of you on the roads down there and I will try to take pics if I see you!
I will be in Orlando during this time with a group of friends at a Disney resort. Wish I could tie both events together!

LOL Doug, no idea what happened there!

I was planning on heading for the back roads from I-95/St Augustine SR207 exit with BUGS2K at around 1pm Wednesday.

But I just read about the crew coming down via Savannah which should hit me around 11am or so. And the only thing that would make me want to take on I-4 thru Orlando is hunting in a pack of NSXes.....now what!?!?
