Bring A Trailer Auction- 1994 Acura NSX

Ended up selling at $40.5. Sold my 98 two yeas ago, have missed it. Had my eye on this one and it appears to have been a terrific buy. Lots of the 'right' things done to it, sounded like a conscientious owner, good maintenance though an early blip on the CarFax. Still a strong value.

Wheels NSX 18" OEM wheel, damaged but as close to free as possible

I just listed this on ebay. Enjoyed it for years, now cleaning out a few zillion things... http://www.ebay.com/itm/291475335199?item=291475335199&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

    Worlds greatest sport coupes...

Hey Tomcat! Thanks for posting that. Yes, that really IS automotive royalty, NSXonwheels. Not undeserving, especially given the era in which it competes, and it sure offers great contrast to the very 'classic' array of others. More shocked by AC/DC choice of the Iso, which though appreciated in...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

Ha! You're welcome! The two happiest thing about having owned a Ford GT are a) having the experience and b) that the new owner loves it! So, your joy helps make mine. That's the super-fun aspect of this hobby/passion. If I still had it, we'd have not met and you might've landed a car that made...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

Thanks for that. Good advice. I tend to go for the 'later' models, just because it seems they're the most refined, improved. Of course there are exceptions in the ranks. I have gotten a couple PMs on some 'open headlight' cars, to which I am getting more open, but all in all, the right car and I...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

Thanks for that! (I must've been asleep for a few days missing these awesome responses.) I want the blue car. Can we just go ahead and put me out of my misery? Terrific looking car, and wheels, even though I'm devoutly a 'stock look' kind of owner. Thank you sending that. Dealers say that blue...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

In a land of impossibly impractical cars, the Ford GT is a real contender. Dumbest door design this side of a screen-doored submarine. Good luck re entering should you forget other humans may park within 4 feet. I also drove mine, and since it has been known to rain in Alabama, opening said...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

Ha! What GREAT taste you have! And thank you for your concern! I still have a 67 Jaguar E-type convertible, opalescent blue with navy leather, being restored now. Plus the 74 Pantera which is my sentimental favorite, not going anywhere. Plus an 'M491' optioned (factory turbo body) 3.2 Carrera...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

I gotcha. Thank you very much for that. Good info. The Boxster/Cayman is really a good comparison with 6 cylinder power, mid engine, enough aluminum to keep 'em light, and excellent driving dynamics with decent luxury. My Cayman regularly surprises me with its torque, sound, AND decent...

Okay, So I Was a Mistake to Sell...

Okay, So It Was a Mistake to Sell... I have already whipped myself for the crime, but I was in "simplification" mode and started selling off "things" that I THOUGHT were cluttering my life. Our home of 16 years (we moved to a lake house we already had) plus a couple commercial buildings, then...

    Seriously looking for 1998-2005 NSX

Previously had an NSX, sold it like a dummy to a guy who was about to have a meltdown for having missed a Ford GT I'd had a while. On the rebound, he buys my NSX, we've been great friends ever since, but he is NOT going to sell it. Not any time soon, so... I'm in the hunt for another. This time...

    NSX 'clunk' in rear

I would think your tech (or you if your far more gifted than I'll ever be) could identify, but my receipt says, and this is the full quote: "Customer states rear shock noise. Check and advise. Customer supplied part. Determined left lower control arm bushings dry and noisy, partially loosened...

    NSX 'clunk' in rear

Yours sounded harder, metal on metal than mine Mine was a little more damped and dull, yours more metallic. But then again, I was hearing mine in a parking lot and you were going 186! I didn't get part numbers, just description on receipt.

    NSX 'clunk' in rear

Had a loudish clunk in the rear of my 1998 and after reading many threads, determined it was shocks. Bought a like new pair of Bilsteins from fellow Prime member, took the car to Acura for installation. NSX tech says, "Nope, not the shocks" and proceeds to replace two worn lower bushings and...
