My buddy and I installed one on his turbo M-coupe. He has had it on there for 2 years or so. Doesn't really drive the car much so he only has about 4,000 miles on it, but its been fine so far.
Also comparing to a 6262 is dumb. The 6262 is a smaller turbo and cannot make the same torque this turbo does. Better comparison would be to compare it to the 6466 which is $1800 dollars and this one is $1900.......so yes. I would pay $100 bucks for garrett reliability any day of the week.
I was just down at sema and Garrett has finially released a GTX40R. The turbo is the GTX40/88R and more info can be found here:

I can only imagine how one would perform on an NSX.
Apologize for mis-reading your statement. Though I would like to say that if you want to know the ACTUAL power of your car and not play the dyno war game with everyone just go to the track with some sticky tires and bog it out of the hole. Make sure you never hit the rev limiter, and shift...
Mrboz,
That statement of yours is internet crap and we should stop the rumor. If you run a faster ET it doesn't mean your trap goes down. The length of the qt. mile does not change. If you run a faster ET it means you accelerated faster and this has no affect on the top speed you can run...
I would suspect with as much time as has passed the car has been to the track. He probably found out that running 9's is harder than it sounds. maybe the OP got an 11 and doesn't want to post about it here.
I would suspect we won't here anything about it till he hits the 9.
Hey OP......am...
Whoaaaaa.......no one said your name onestepx. I see why your threads get out of hand. You are on the defense when people are making general statement. Relax my friend. Go run that 9 in the qt. mile and be done with it.

Really...I slick with a 35 side wall. :-(
It will do better than street tires but get ready to be all over the place. Why not pick up a nice 15" or 16" wheel and do a set of M/T 275/50/15's or something nice that is going to have some nice side wall to wrinkle down?
Mini tub to get width is not going to help much. Little help sure, but not really. Tire height is what is going to help. When I went from a 24.6 inch tall tire to a 26.1 inch tall tire in the same width I was BLOWN AWAY. Car hooked good.
The order of getting more grip on a car is as...
I have 6 denso 550cc fuel injectors for sale. 5 or the 6 have been just been cleaned and flow tested while one injector is was purchased separate from the five new so it didn't need to be cleaned and flow tested. I had these on my NSX for 900 miles and then I got the bug for more power. I am...
Hey Cody,
Do you get the gain on the headers because the thinner material you use instead of schedule 40 doesn't absorb as much heat, so as much energy from the system? is that the idea?
And when you say you gain 40 hp, that is in the power band right? Not at peak? But then again maybe it...
Yup. Your missing something. The walbro's internal valve will start to bleed off pressure above 75 psi to protect the pump. This does not mean that the pump won't make the 108 psi. Think of it like popping a small hole in your intercooler pipe. Sure the turbo still makes 10 psi but your...
